141  3 painted onesies for a POT HEAD! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by CraftyCarrie on: August 09, 2005 10:08:37 PM
Here are 3 onsies that I made for my cousin's baby-to-be.  I drew and cut stencils out of contact paper, stuck it on the onesie, and painted with acrylic paint.  I stole the POTTY HEAD idea from a website.  My cousin loves frogs.  And her husband loves the Yankees.  Enjoy!

142  Re: `*Bag & Bracelet Swap*` Gallery in The Swap Gallery by CraftyCarrie on: August 09, 2005 09:25:47 PM
I got my bag and bracelet from krafty-kritter.  Everything is awesome!

The messanger bag has a black exterior and a gray patterned interior.  It also has a sage green zippered pocket inside.

The closure on this bag is unbelievable!  It has two metal loops that hang from the flap.  Then two knotted straps (which hang from the bottom of the bag) slip into the loops.  This bag is really clever and well-made.

The bracelet is great too!

Sonya...Thanks for everything!

143  My First Quilt. Froggy style! in Quilting: Completed Projects by CraftyCarrie on: June 19, 2005 03:59:30 PM
I made my first quilt in about 10 hours.  Most of that time was spent thinking...pulling out my hair .. and second guessing myself.  But I am very happy with the result.  I made it for my cousin's baby-to-be.  My cousin and her husband love exotic frogs and I'm sure their baby will too.  The pictures do not show the colors properly ,but you  get the idea.

144  Re: super simple felt cell phone cozy! NOW with tutorial in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by CraftyCarrie on: May 06, 2005 04:26:47 PM
Thanks for the tutorial.  I made some too!

For my cell phone.

And I modified the tutorial a bit and made this one to hold my smokes, ID, and some cash.  I hate holding these things when I go to a club, so I'll just attach this to my belt loop.

145  Re: 80's Prom Party in Party Planning by CraftyCarrie on: March 15, 2005 01:46:39 PM
My hubby and I had an 80's Party last year.  It was so much fun.  I was really impressed with the turnout.  Everyone was dressed ... even though the all kicked and screamed about it.

Here's a picture of the invitation.

The invitation is hard to read.
It says...
Like.. Oh..My..God!
You are invited to this totally bitchin' party!
We are going back in time 20 years.
Holy sh*t...Has it been that long?
This is an 80's costume party.
So bust out your old Whitesnake T-Shirt,
a pair of ripped Levi 501s,
and throw on that leather fringe jacket!
Come dressed as Michael J Fox, Mr T, or Cyndi Lauper,
or just cut the collar off an oversized hot pink T-Shirt
and wrap a neon green belt around your waist.
Ladies..Don't forget the Aqua Net!
If your hair fits through the door with ease,
we'll know you didn't try hard enough.
Guys...Start growing out your mullets and rattails.
For inspiration, turn on TBS and check out rad movies like
Weird Science, Fast Times, 16 Candles, Say Anything, Valley Girl,
or any totally gnarly John Hughes movie!
So Fire up your IrocZ, and cruise on over to our own little Culture Club and Rock the Casbah!
Feel free to sucker your friends into coming.
No 80's party would be complete without a few bad-ass party crashers!
This party will be like totally tubular to the max!

Here are a few random party pics.

We ripped out pictures of celebrities from old 80's magazines and hung them from the ceiling.  We had Atari games on the computer and a kareoke machine. All around the house were piles of PARTY FAVORS like, mini Rubics Cubes, Jelly Bracelets, and those neon Headband/Sunglasses.  I bought the favors from www.orientaltrading.com. I even made a life-size cardboard cut-out of Pres. Reagan.   Have fun with it.  There are a ton of ideas on the web too.
