1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: One Tiny Stuffie Round 7 Gallery! on: September 28, 2011 08:25:48 AM
I know she posted pictures, but here's some from me.

Here is my Pokemon crew I received from    omgferosh92

I'm wickedly late posting, but life has been unkind in the last few weeks.

This is Emolga. He's super cute.

Pidove. I love Pidove because he reminds me of my childhood. We used to raise pidgeons. Smiley

Pichu. He had a mishap during shipping. His tail is barely hanging on.

Minun. I love the idea of a + and - Pokemon. And the fact that they're "cheerleaders" cracks me up.

And Pikachu. Everyone knows Pikachu. lol

I love my package. She did a great job. And she's been wonderfully patient with me. <3

We were evacuated from the house in preparation for the hurricane that slammed the east coast last weekend (I'm about 45 minutes from where it made first landfall). Now that power is restored, we are home and our house was spared from the floods that ravaged my street and many neighboring areas. We're now in hurricane recovery mode, fun stuff. Despite the setback, I'm pretty sure I can still send on time.

I'm glad you like it. I had fun making it. My husband was staring at me while I was writing down the lyrics., then he thought about it and realized what I was going to do. I didn't realize the fabric had a mark on it until the whole thing was done, but it kind of adds to it anyway. I'm overall happy with how it came out, being my first handmade journal and all. Smiley

I hope you're feeling better.

Planned to craft away the hurricane this weekend and ended up getting put under a mandatory evacuation. Hopefully we will be back home soon.

I'm glad that you liked the box Cheesy I have to share though, he didn't start out a full reject...he had a loose string that was bothering me so I went to pull it off and it happened to be the string to shut his face  Angry I was at Ft. Pickett at the time and won him...well by defination I didn't win. I told the poor teen operating the game I had to have it, I love pikachu and have one tattooed on my butt and if I didn't leave with one he would see a solider cry. ANYWAYS, the only thread I could find at the PX there was ACU nylon thread and went to town. He is half a reject with some legit battle scars.

When I saw you liked Poke'mon I knew I was going to spoil you with goodies because I can relate to poke'love.

Haha, well, Toy Factory plushies that end up in the games are pretty much always rejected from the factory anyway. You can buy the better looking ones directly from the company, but they cost a lot. Smiley But I love them and their squishy faces. I love scarface Pikachu either way. Smiley I've actually got my head laying on him now as I type this. He's a convenient pillow for when I lay down and use my laptop. Cheesy

And I definitely love the package. The only thing I'd suggest doing differently is putting a sealant over the cards (or anything else you glue on) on the trinket box so that it's not sticky. Smiley I've got some Modge Podge that I'm going to apply to it to seal it.

My husband picked up the packages that my mailman failed to ring the door about, or well 2 of the 3 since they LOST one of them. :|

Anyway, one of those packages was from MadHatteh. Cheesy

First up is the thing she made for me. It's a little Pokemon themed trinket box. It's covered in bits and pieces from various Pokemon cards. Being a Pokemon card collector, my first reaction was " Cry I didn't have some of those cards" LOL But I love the box. It's a really neat idea. I'll probably keep my Pokemon stickers and coins in it. Every time I take a picture, my hair ends up in the picture somewhere. Ignore the hair that's over Jolteon's face, that's mine and not attached to the box.

I then opened the box because it felt like something was in it and found something awesome inside.

What is it you say? Well, the tag thing has stickers on the front and the back, and the packets, using an educated guess, appears to be some kind of gum, but it's going to stay packaged forever because the packets are too cute to tear open. The only thing that would sway me to open them is if there were stickers inside. I love stickers!.

That still wasn't everything! There were a ton of cards and a nifty mini binder to hold them! The Sampling Pack was sealed, but I couldn't help myself and needed to tear it open before getting a picture. LOL I'm such a little kid. I needed quite a bit of the cards for my collection too, so yay for that!

What's next, you ask? I kind of got a little too excited at this next thing. I have been searching for this movie for a long time and have had no luck. Not only did I get that movie, but I got a second movie with it. Cheesy The Celebi movie, aka movie 4, aka Pokemon 4ever, is my FAVORITE Pokemon movie, and she didn't know that before sending this gift, so yay for her mindreading abilities!

And last but not least is probably the best of all of the "non-crafted" items, just because he's one of a kind. What's so special about him, you might ask yourself, well the answer is that he's a factory reject Toy Factory Pikachu plushie! I have been trying to get my hands on the Toy Factory Pikachu for awhile. He's kind of hard to obtain, because he's an arcade prize of some kind (claw machine or random games). So the fact that she found a factory reject one makes it even more amazing. I'm a sucker for rejected things plush, just because they're legit and still one of a kind. And the Toy Factory plush are awesome because they're smush-faced and look so helpless and pillow-like. ANYWAY, here he is, scarface Pikachu.

And that's all the pictures of everything. Thank you so much, MadHatteh. I'm very pleased with the birthday gift you sent me. Welcome to the world of swapping. I'm glad I was able to get your first ever swap package. Smiley

Very cute. Eevee is adorable and I'm not even an Eevee fan.

based off tracking codes aidenromantic should have gotten her package yesterday. hope its enjoyed.

That explains why 3 packages with delivery confirmation are sitting at the post office for me to pick up today. We couldn't figure out what the third one was. lol I know one is for my husband, another one was a big purchase I made and the third one we were confused about.

I won't be able to pick it up until nearly 5pm today, but I will post pictures as soon as I get it.

My mailman is a jerk and never rings the doorbell. He just leaves the slip and disappears. :|

I received from sushipanda today. Smiley I was about to take a nap when I looked at the time and realized I didn't hear the mail slot open. It's very rare that not one person in the house gets mail, so I went downstairs and opened the door to see what was going on, the stupid mailman left all of our mail, including letters, on the front step. :|

ANYWAY... I noticed a package with a DCN and got excited since nothing I buy online comes with a DCN, so I knew right away what it was. Cheesy

She chose my Pokemon theme. I love getting new Pokemon things. Cheesy

Me wearing it:

The pretty bracelet and some nifty candy that I've never heard of:

This is a better picture of some of the charms:

The pictures don't do it justice. It's beautiful. I need to decide if I want to wear it or keep it safely with my Pokemon collection. She did a really amazing job depicting the badges and Pokeballs.

Thank you sushipanda Smiley

I'm wondering...those of you that have the Walmarts that have the fabric back in them, is it arranged like it was before, with the bolts of fabric and all that?  'Cause I went to one of the Walmarts near me and got all excited for a moment, b/c the "craft" area was in a different place...went around a corner and saw that all they had was some fat quarters and bundles of the quilting fabric.  I was so annoyed and disappointed.

2 of the 3 of ours that have crafty stuff have the bolts of fabric and 1 just has the fat quarters. The rest of the Walmarts in the area (at least 6 of them) don't even carry craft stuff.
