Love the colors, as well as the 3-D look you've achieved.  Nice job!

I think 5 to send would be fine - not overwhelming, but enough for variety.  Would we send the same to each partner?  Might need to adjust and adapt for diet restrictions or preferences but that should be do-able.  I use mine mainly for main dishes.  I could come up with side dishes/desserts, but necessarily ones I use regularly.

Personal recipes would be great, but I'm OK with cookbook recipes - we could give title & author of book so we'd each get a list of new-to-us titles to look for.  Could add some personal side information about times we've made the recipe, adaptions we've tried, etc.

386  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing ATC Swap Gallery - JULY '10 on: August 02, 2010 06:50:49 PM
My very first swap...yayyy!

I received this terrific ATC today from Szuzu1969.  The theme was Artist's Photography.  The card is an altered photo of a musician friend of hers.  She couldn't have known, but both my sons play electric guitars - so this one is very appropriate for me, as well as being beautiful  Smiley  It also has a few spots of glitter, which always makes things better.  I had to take the picture without the flash to avoid glare, but as a result the glitter doesn't glitter too much.

Thanks again, Szuzu!

I've only just completed my first swap, so I can't organize, but I'd love to join in.  I'll be watching!

Does anyone read steampunk books? I love the style, but I haven't read any steampunk books. GOt any suggestions?

One very good steampunk book is <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Mainspring-Jay-Lake/dp/0765356368/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1280408369&sr=1-1">Mainspring</a> by Jay Lake.  It's steamy  Roll Eyes  Shocked in parts, as well as steampunk, so be warned, but it's very good.  A new one is <a href="http://boingboing.net/2009/09/29/boneshaker-cherie-pr.html">Boneshaker</a> by Cherie Priest  --  I haven't read it yet, but I've heard great things.  There's a nice discussion at <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk">Wikipedia</a> with lots of ideas.
