1  Mr Tumble, a recon (Loads of pics!) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Mrs Tumble on: February 26, 2011 12:15:25 PM
I don't know if any of you guys are familiar with the Children's Tv character Mr Tumble (Its where I got my name from  Grin ) but he's HUGE here in England, and as the TV show is aimed at kids with Special Needs, there is very little merchandise.

So I took this doll

and this was born:

As my friends and family heard what I was doing, one bacame lots

Lots became more

and More after that  Cheesy I think I made about 25 in all

here's the last one I made as a to show how far I came with them

Here's a pic of Mr Tumble so you get an idea of what he was supposed to look like

We were even lucky enough to meet the guy who plays him and give him one which he loved  Kiss Unfortunately I didn't get a pic with it and him, but here's a pic of him with my dd

Sorry so many pics, but I loved making them  Cheesy

2  Helena in Costumes: Completed Projects by Mrs Tumble on: February 26, 2011 11:47:20 AM
I made this dress which is from the 'Helena' Music video by My Chemical Romance.

Artists Impression of the dress

As she's the same size as me I did a bit of modelling  Cheesy

The back is shirred with lacing, Hopefully soon I'll get some better photos, but its too big for my dressform and dh is rubbish at taking phots. Its a shame because it looks better in RL than in the pics. It took me 3 goes to get it right but I really enjoyed making it  Smiley I'm tempted to keep it rather than give it to my friend  Cheesy

3  victorian bustle dress - lots of pics in Costumes: Completed Projects by Mrs Tumble on: July 21, 2010 02:07:46 AM
Its taken me about 4 months worth of my spare time to make this, but boy is it worth it  Grin

The pattern is Simplicity (can't remember the number) with slight alterations, made of flocked taffeta, fully lined, worn over a petticoat and corset (which I also made) anyway, onto the pics. Excuse the funny faces i'm pulling it was about 10.30 at night and I was BOILING!! Enjoy  Smiley

Me being laced in by my 'maid'  (dh  Grin) you can see the corset I did too, i'm hoping to make a black one to go under my dress
