1  My Belly Dance Tassle Belt in Crochet: Completed Projects by RissaTS on: August 23, 2010 01:08:28 AM
 Grin Hi all!

Well..this project is 95 percent complete..so its close enough!

This is my take on the lovely tassel belt, with instructions from kasihime.

The last thing I have to add are the tassels, but after looking at her original picture, I notice that the cords are spiral. So trying to figure out if they are spiral crochet..done VERY losely, or is it something else.

I also tried to do a close-up of the darts, but my camera is being non cooperative. Samsara was very nice to offer a great suggestion for doing the darts. Basically, you end up doing a very short row, of only 4-5 stitches completely, then go back to the full row you had been doing. I nearly went insane trying to figure that mess out.

2  Na'Wata - Young Na'vi - Avatar in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by RissaTS on: July 28, 2010 12:47:41 PM
Hello again. Cheesy

Here is my doll once more..this time, with proper stripes and such.

Sill working on putting a light into the back braid..but Im going to leave her alone for right now. She is painted with glow paints..so she does glow dimly in the dark.

I hope you like her. She looks much different than earlier.

Im also working on another companion Na'vi piece for her.

I really had alot making this doll. I plan to make many more..

This time..with the RIGHT materials..hehehe

This is the correct place to post him but not the correct way. How you think you can get away with just one picture of something so marvellous is beyond me Cheesy.
J/K, even that one picture is awesome. Great job!

Well...just cause you asked...

Mom says you want to see more...

Here is the back view..that shows off my spiny spikes and tail..

Maybe..I can get some better shots later.

Thats all for now. Zzzzzzzzzzzz

Pssst.. theatreorchid  I used a pattern...which I altered a few spots.

5  Crochet Mask... *WAS... A Pirate Pig!* in Crochet: Completed Projects by RissaTS on: July 19, 2010 06:52:11 PM
Hello all.

Just another item I decided to share. I saw the pattern here a while ago for a Pirate Pig mask.

Well..I couldnt resist..and started playing with the pattern..

And this is what I ended up with.

Scary...isnt it! LOL

Actually..its very comfortable to wear, and making it look furry was not too hard at all. Makes for a very quick mask, when playing around.

I know I had fun making it. Also made a furry tail and some "mits" to match!

7  Re: The Ongoing Poppet-Along in Craftalongs by RissaTS on: July 19, 2010 05:02:33 PM
Hi all!

As my first entry since Ive joined...here is my very first poppet.

Her name is Na'wata..and its easy to see where my influence came from.
(A Na'vI from the Movie Avatar)

But I was a baaad girl. I didnt have the right material to make her..but I so desperately wanted to make one..that I used whats handy.

But..it was a good learning lesson. She is not all the way finished yet..she still needs her spots..and her paint..and a new skirt..but I wanted to show her off anyway..

Hope you like her!
