1  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions / How to seal sharpie marker on glass. on: September 24, 2011 12:23:06 AM
I recently went to a concert here and got an autograph (with a sharpie) on a piece of glass. I was wondering what would the best way to seal it be?

Thanks in advance!
2  COOKING / Dessert / Holiday Cookie/Baked goods along??? on: September 11, 2010 03:19:38 PM
I'm  hoping this is not out of line, or in the wrong place. If so I do apologize and will remove the post. I searched some and didn't see anything like this currently going.

So I have decided a cool gift idea for some in my family would be a mini cookbook with holiday goodie recipes in it. The problem is there are only a few I have tried/liked. So I need to start making some recipes to find good ones to include. I need motivation lol. So I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a holiday bake along? Even just something simple of sharing recipes/ideas and sharing the results of new things you have tried, or your old favorite holiday recipies? OR maybe someone who has done other craft alongs have a better idea for one like this. Anyone interested? I know there are tons of recipes already on this board, but I also know a lot of us do a lot of extra baking for the holiday time, so I thought it might be cool to share/support eachother ect. ect.
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / Plant Identification help on: August 20, 2010 08:13:51 PM
We just moved into a new house, that has TONS of plants in it. We are slowly going through and trying to figure out what is what before we just start taking stuff out. This plant sprouted inches over night it seemed like in the middle of our front yard, after we had moved some excess dirt from the backyard to fill in the holes left by the previous person's dogs. Does anyone happen to know what this is. I refuse to remove it from the yard untill I figure it out. It is rather pretty, but we're having bets on if it's a veggie or not, (I say it's not lol).

As a YAY! moment, my first sunflower is FINALLY opening lol

Thanks for any help!!
4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / beg. Photography (pic heavyish) on: July 17, 2010 01:18:10 AM
So I have just in the past 6 months or so decided to get more into photography. So go easy on me! These are some of my first pics. Not that I haven't taken pitcures for years, but these are more artsy I guess. I have played around with the filters some (mostly lighting). C&C always welcome!

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / Getting rid of spiders - non chemically on: July 03, 2010 01:55:58 PM
So we just rented this really nice, older house. With a great yard, the whole back yard is garden space no grass. However the previous renter let it go wild, it is the most over grown yard I have ever seen lol. My problem is, the spiders LOVE LOVE LOVE it. literally in the front yard I have seen at least 100 spiders in various stages. Most appear to be daddy long legs, the back yard has it's far share that I have come across but  we haven't really gone crazy getting the back yard in order yet. I have seen some nasty looking spiders and have no idea what kind they are. I know some spiders are good for your garden and I'm not looking to kill them all, but rather get them under control. Sorry for the long winded explanation. So my question is, does anyone know of any kind of predatory bug or something that I can release in my yard to help get the spiders in balance before I start having nightmares lol. I know clearing it out will probably help a bunch but in the mean time I hate spiders am scared to death of them, so it is making it hard to get out there and do the work I want to do lol.

I would really like to stay away from spraying any chemicals of any kind, I'm just not that type of person I guess lol. And I don't want to deal with trying not to contaminate all the fruits and veggies I have started putting in the ground lol.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm not getting too far with the google search lol.

Thanks in advance!!
