13  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Holiday decoration to nightlight on: September 24, 2010 05:54:25 PM
Very Cool! I saw the severed legs at a store around here and was trying to think of what one could do with them lol.

You could also get a LED night light if you're worried about heat. LED's are bright, and give off almost no heat at all.
14  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Binding for a denim quilt? on: September 17, 2010 03:05:51 PM
My other half has a denim quilt his grandma made him, it's just big squares of different colored denim (in like a 4 patch pattern) she used a really soft minky type backing and binding (just a solid blue no pattern). Then she just tied it off instead of quilting, it is SUPER comfy and cozy, very warm for the winter, though too heavy to really use in the summer.

16  COOKING / Dessert / Holiday Cookie/Baked goods along??? on: September 11, 2010 03:19:38 PM
I'm  hoping this is not out of line, or in the wrong place. If so I do apologize and will remove the post. I searched some and didn't see anything like this currently going.

So I have decided a cool gift idea for some in my family would be a mini cookbook with holiday goodie recipes in it. The problem is there are only a few I have tried/liked. So I need to start making some recipes to find good ones to include. I need motivation lol. So I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a holiday bake along? Even just something simple of sharing recipes/ideas and sharing the results of new things you have tried, or your old favorite holiday recipies? OR maybe someone who has done other craft alongs have a better idea for one like this. Anyone interested? I know there are tons of recipes already on this board, but I also know a lot of us do a lot of extra baking for the holiday time, so I thought it might be cool to share/support eachother ect. ect.

This is awesome! I would love a blanket like this! I might have to find this book too. I haven't mastered crochet yet, and a newbie knitter but maybe it would keep interested enough to finish something lol. Wisted!
