sorry so many pics ....I just love them even if they do look a little like ghetto flowers lol.
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / liams taggie blanket on: May 24, 2010 06:49:40 AM
So my first post with pictures! First item I ever made on a sewing machine!!!

So my Best friend since 6th grade (about 15 yrs) is having her very first baby! And its a BOY! So I have been feeling crafty and decided to make all my gifts. So far I have 1 no sew blanket and now I have this taggie blanket!!!

I love this blanket (because I was worried it wouldnt come out right). The sticth isnt exactly striaght BUT I decided I dont care due to it being for a baby who wont care either lol.

Do you think the colors are ok for a boy?

Also since im new to all this.....i have a question. When sewing, when you get to the end of your stitches, what do you do so that it wont unravel? I looked around and cant find much about it. I saw where some people say just do back/reinforcement stitching (thats what i did) but im still afriad it might unravel?

C & C are welcome!!!
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / No Sew baby blankie on: April 27, 2010 08:02:24 AM
OK so this is my very first post on this site please forgive if i do it wrong. Cry So my Best friend for the last oh 15 yrs is having her first baby due late June 2010. I'm throwing her shower and also am planning on making all my gifts for her. I decided to start out easy with a no sew blanket (which wasn't as easy as it sounds considering I sat on my floor which isn't too soft and it killed my back lol Grin). I think it turned out nice. Let me know what you think.
