I love the glass box, the bag is gorgeous and the fairy 8 ball wand? How on earth did you think of it?!

I have to give credit to you, sazzra, for the initial concept of a fairy wand! You've been so great to me since I've joined Craftster (and really patient with my 1000+ questions) that you've become my self-appointed Fairy Godmother! (Self-appointed by me!  Wink) In your infinite wisdom, you paired me with my perfect SP, rockmygypsysoul. JoAnn's profile and questionnaire completed the concept of a wand that could foretell the future. On certain days, don't we all wish for something to tell us whether getting out of bed is worth it?  Wink

Also, Arielthemermaid, you should get an award for supreme packaging. I always just shove stuff in the box.
Simple paranoia on my part! Cheesy I was afraid rockmygypsysoul would receive a Faery box filled with glass shards, teeny glass marbles, and lots of ribbon!

I am simply MAD about all the different necklaces, earrings, and the Fantasia ring made by everyone! And the tees are all fab! All the bags, aprons, plushies (Luv the Sookies and Godric), iron-ons, towels, pillowcases, and the glass box (Sigh! that's really, really fab!). There are waaay too many awesome things in this swap to list what I'm wisting! (Practically everything!)  Grin

Rockmygypsysoul--Now that I am at real computer I can post a proper reply to your wonderful post and PMs.  Cheesy (My Barbie-sized keyboard or the touch screen keyboard on my phone does not lend itself to real emailing.  Angry)

I am SO VERY EXCITED that you loved your package!! I'm still on Cloud 9 today!  Grin Since this was my 1st swap, I was beyond nervous! This has been a truly fantastic experience!

I must admit I asked your Wishing Wand when your package would be delivered. This was the answer (and one of the teaser pics):

It said next week! (It works! It works! My inner crafting demon is now doing its best impersonation of a mad scientist!  Grin)

Here are some additional pics of the Wishing Wand on its stand:

With the sample questions:

In its box:

Directions for use:

When you have a day you don't have a question for it, ask it when I'll get Eric and when to buy a lottery ticket!  Grin

To be completely honest, I've just begun making jewelry. Your bracelet is the 1st real piece I've made. I know it turned out really heavy (sorry about that) but I couldn't seem to stop charming! I tried to make sure the bracelet wouldn't be uncomfortable for you to wear (with your Fibromyalgia) by distributing the weight evenly on both sides of the bracelet. Let me know if you experience any problems with it. (I don't mind critiques at all and I love learning new techniques.)

Here's a close up (without a label on the blood vial):

I went round and round about the label for the blood vial. I wanted it to be from Eric, but the Eric label didn't coordinate. So I went with the "V" label. I'm so glad you read my mind!  Cheesy A dear friend of mine who lives in Korea sent me the coffin (cough-in) charm for your bracelet.

I so loved your bookmark, I made one for myself. (Shrinky Dinking is my other new obsession!)

Your pic turned out much better.

And a few other pics of the "V" sample:

Sending you another long distance hug! Enjoy all of it! I'm stalking my postal lady tomorrow! Ariel

3  Girls Wonderland Whimsy Room Pink/Green/Blue/Yellow in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by arielthemermaid on: March 31, 2010 08:34:41 AM
This is my daughter's room, which I am about to rip out and redo again. (She's a teenager now, horrible wretched things! Smiley) Let me know what you think about this room. And if you have any ideas on my redecorating thoughts. (I rather mused out loud at the bottom of the post.) Would love to hear anything you think pertinent, as when I redecorate this room my daughter will be at her dad's and it will be a surprise for her. (I know her likes and dislikes, so this will not be a problem. Just want to make sure I have covered all the necessities.) Teenage girls and teenage girls' moms are welcome to send me their ideas as well.
Her bedroom was a work in progress for about 4 years. (We bought a new house, etc.) I hand-painted the furniture first and made all my other designs around it. I call it her Whimsy, but the pictures don't really do it justice. (I had to scan photos, can't find the CD.) It's rather like Alice in Wonderland without the characters.
My nickname for her is "Sunshine", so I incorporated it in several places, like on the desk, the desk chair, and the crown on the canopy. The canopy is ceiling- and wall-mounted and made from wood, fabric, and twinkle lights. The inspiration for the canopy came when my daughter became irritated that her brother's room had "all these cool lights in it" and her room didn't have any. (My son's room was the inside of a spaceship  Cheesy) The best thing about the canopy is at night, it is really light sleeping under the stars because the lights twinkle on and off very softly. (She was pleased.)
I have also included photos of the cat rocker I repainted (was an ugly gray brown) and it is based upon one of our cats that is a tabby. The two nightstands match the desk and chair and all the furniture was painted at the same time. (She is the 3rd generation in my family to have this bedroom set. Underneath all that paint is solid mahogany. (Yes, I hear the gasps!) The last photos are of her wall cabinets. (These are my very favorite thing in the world to add to a child's room because all their junk is hidden behind doors and looks so neat and clean. My son has a set in his spaceship that are covered in silver lame. Am going to redecorate his room, too.  Sad ) These cabinets are simply those storage cabinets you get at Home Depot, etc. for about $125-$150 each and usually come in white or wood tone laminate. Basically I padded these, covered in fabric, french memo-ed, and trimmed and voila! original artistic storage that really works! I have included a photos of one with the doors open.

I am going to be redecorating this room, but I am keeping the cabinets and I will recover them to match the new decor. I haven't decided on the new decor theme, like I said she's a non-human life form, harrumph, I mean a teenager. But I will be replacing the twin size bed with a full size. I'm sorta thinking a custom upholstered loft bed, only 4' off the ground maybe with a shaped tuffed headboard, storage underneath, etc. Kinda a Parisian theme. Like raspberry and gold. I'd like to keep the harlequin diamond design on the walls, but in a different color, but we'll see. I love harlequin diamonds!

4  Boy's Train Depot Nursery in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by arielthemermaid on: March 25, 2010 02:19:30 AM
Okay, I think I have listed the photo links correctly. I hope this works!

This is a nursery I designed for a friend of mine's soon-to-be grandson. She had always been fascinated by train depots as a child herself, so I decided to decorate the room with the window as the ticket window, the crib as the train itself, and all 4 walls were muraled as the outdoors after the train leaves the depot. I designed, built, and sewed the canopy (the top of the train engine) with a full back drape and 1/3 side drapes. You may not be able to see too clearly in the photos, but after the canopy needs to be removed (simple ceiling mount) for the baby's safety while in the crib, there are murals behind it so it still maintains its integrity. Once the child goes to a toddler bed/twin bed, the canopy can be reinstalled. There are little extras in the room, like the lanterns on either side of the window are real lanterns, the train depot sign says "Austin's Depot", the tall clock muraled on the wall has an actual working clock, the table beside the rocker was custom-made from some trunk-shaped boxes I had, and the red crib dust ruffle actually has wheels on it (removeable for washing)......Basically, all the items except the furniture and the crib bedding was custom made for this room.

As I am a newbie to craftster, I would love to hear your thoughts. I love to decorate children's rooms and I will be posting other rooms I have done. (No, I don't get paid for any of this...in fact, I usually end up spending more money than the person the room is for Smiley But you have to feed your inner crafting monster! Cause if she's not happy, nobody is!
