1  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Pattern ideas for dance dress on: April 29, 2012 09:46:10 PM
Does anyone know any patterns that could be modified/combined to make a dress like this:
? (not the embroidery, just the base. Also, what sort of fabric would you use for the pieces, do you think?
Thanks in advance.
2  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Freezable Vegan Food on: May 28, 2011 04:04:28 PM
Basically, I'm looking for freezable recipes that are easy to heat up. A couple of my friends are vegan/vegetarian, and so feeding people can sometimes be difficult, since our house is all omnivorous.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Hanna Andersson Day Dress for adult on: May 13, 2011 09:33:02 PM
Babydoll dresses are really cute, but if someone could guide me to a style with a waist that hits more around your natural waist, that would be great, because higher waisted dresses have a tendency of making me look rather large than I am...

Cool. Do you happen to know if the style had a particular name?
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Hanna Andersson Day Dress for adult on: May 05, 2011 03:12:49 PM
I really want a Hanna Andersson style day dress like this one:
But for an adult. How difficult do you think it would be to make? (I'm sort of looking at it going "I really want this. But... So many buttons!"
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: My finished bedroom! on: December 05, 2010 12:22:10 PM
It's amazing. And I love the lyric idea, and am tempted to do the same thing in my own room. But first I'd need to pick a song...

I love the board, it looks so neat.

I apologize for bumping this so much, I didn't even notice that the last post was from three years ago....
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Can Sterilite Drawers be painted? on: December 04, 2010 06:15:26 PM
I'm (finally) painting my room, and I plan on painting my dresser and one bookshelf the same colour I am painting my ceiling. Would I be able to paint the Sterilite plastic drawers as well (with the same paint), or would I be better off going and buying wooden drawers from IKEA?
8  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / I'm dressing up as River Tam, and I need some help with the skirt on: October 17, 2010 03:43:00 PM
So, I'm dressing as River Tam from Firefly, in her safe outfit.

I'm going to make the skirt, because I can't find one like it, but I could use some suggestions for basic patterns (preferably free and online) and suggestions for what fabric to use (I would like the skirt to act like hers does, all spinny and stuff).
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: What size pattern? on: March 24, 2010 09:42:16 AM
It's a Butterick pattern. I appear to be right in between 12 and 14, so I'm trying the twelve, and if it doesn't fit, I'll go back and get a fourteen.
*the pattern does have darts in the bodice.
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / What size pattern? on: March 23, 2010 01:31:28 PM
I'm making a high waisted sundress (the skirt is really loose), so I'm mostly worried about the bust, but I don't know which size to cut.

My Measurements:
bust- 35"
waist- 27"
hips- 38"
