11  Re: Spell My Name Round 6 Gallery of Goodies in The Swap Gallery by MaryColleen on: August 05, 2011 02:47:24 PM
My Partner Suzyyy29 is having internet issues and asked me to post pictures of what I sent her.  Sorry again for so many pics but our names are long...

Everything all packaged up and ready to go

S is for Skeins of yarn that I found at an art fair - someone was spinning

U is for Unique ribbon - I made these smaller since there are so many pics

Z is for Zipper - Zipper pouch with different fabrics behind each zipper

Other side and inside

A is for Assorted Fabrics

N is for Nested Hoops - this was my first time doing anything like this and I was so excited the way it turned out.  The smaller pics are the backs of the hoops and the small one next to a quarter so you get an idea of the size

Smallest one

N is for nightlight - a wine bottle with lights covered in diamond dust

And all lit up

E is for Eek!  It's a mouse - catnip mice and hearts for her kitties

X is for X-Tra!  Some yarn I found in cool tones

OK I got a totally awesome package from Suzyyy29 today and just in time to make a crappy week much better.  I'm sorry for all the pictures but my name is long and my stuff is awesome!

This is the box that all my stuff came in. It is totally fantastic and I'm going to store some of my craft supplies in it.

All the presents packed in the box

C is for Crochet box full of goodies

O is for Oodles of goodies - a deck of drink recipe playing cards that I am totally using at my next party, some crayon buttons, a charm with a vintage sewing machine on it all wrapped in this sweet fabric square!

L is for Little lady coasters that also came with a paper clip for my desk! The stitching rocks!

L is for Little felted balls! I also received a felting needle and some wool roving. I can't wait to play with this!

E is for Edible yummy M&M's in a matching blue tin that will feel right at home in my M&M collection.

E is for Eclectic wall art from the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy! I have the perfect spot on my office wall for this.

Nic - nacs for sewing, crafts, and whatever else! There is some incredible cashmere/wool blend fabric (see next pic for close up), some zippers, bright yarn, and some markers for stamping! So many craft possibilities - so little time.

Close up of the cashmere wool fabric. Now I just have to decide what to make with it!

All the goodies together

Thank you so much Suzyyy29 I love this package and can't wait to first show it off to my family then dig in and have fun!  You are an awesome partner and I hope you like your package half as much as I like mine!  This was a great first swap for me and I would love to do another round!!

13  Ironing Pad - my first project post - be gentle :-) in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by MaryColleen on: June 20, 2011 07:21:36 PM
I haven't been sewing too long and seem to do well with straight lines like curtains and pillows.  I just finished my craft room and it has a raised counter area to make it easier to cut.  I decided a few weeks ago that I needed an ironing pad that will fit on it and turn it into a big ironing board when I need it and tuck away when I don't.

Like I said, I'm pretty new at this but was happy with the way it turned out.
