22  Cute little Alice bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by ViciousPrecious on: March 08, 2011 01:42:38 PM
It's my bestie's birthday on the weekend and I put this little bag together for her. She is totally into Alice in Wonderland and I remembered I had this bit of fabric in my stash, so it worked out quite well.

It's made from cotton fabric and every piece has some fusible interfacing on it so it actually stands up by itself. It measures about 9" tall by 7" wide. The handles are some craft ribbon I also had kicking around in the stash. You may notice the handles are a different pattern. I didn't have enough of either to do both so I made it a "design feature"  Wink

It's the first time I've made a bag like this, just sort of made it up as I went along. How'd I do? Do you think she'll like it?  Cheesy

I live in Brisbane, Australia and pretty much all Summer it has been cold and rainy. Then we had a flood. But the tides are receding and we finally have some hot, sunny weather again. Like 95 degrees (Fahrenheit) hot! I plan on enjoying what's left of Summer and making more dresses   Cheesy

Here is my latest. Let me know what you think  Smiley

The belt I bought on sale at Barkins.

25  Candy Bar Cupcakes in Dessert by ViciousPrecious on: November 05, 2010 05:24:22 AM
Check out these amazing cupcakes! They taste so good and were incredibly easy to make.

I used a Betty Crocker Chocolate Fudge cake mix and 4 Mars bars but you could use any candy bar that you like. The cake mix has to be pretty dense I think to contain the chocolatey goodness inside.

Get your muffin/cupcake tray ready, make up the cake mix and cut your candy bars into small pieces.

Put one spoonful of mixture into each case and gently pop the piece of candy bar on top.

Top it off with another spoonful making sure you leave a bit of room for it to rise when baking.

Your cat may wonder what the heck you're doing.

I probably baked it for a little longer than I normally would because I was a bit worried about it being gooey on the bottom. Looks like it turned out ok!

Seriously delicious, even without frosting.

Thanks for looking. If you have any questions or comments feel free to let me know Smiley

Thanks to themuppet for my Halloween swag  Grin

Here's everything all laid out.

Day 13. How awesome is this cauldron?

Day 12. Candy Corn (!!!), which is impossible to find where I live, and some delicious chocolate brains. Now I have Tay Zonday "Chocolate Rain" stuck in my head. For the uninitiated, do check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwTZ2xpQwpA

Day 11. Cutest little monster dude ever and some really good craftsmanship.

Obligatory "my cat is trying to steal everything" photo  Wink

Day 10. "Zombie Love" bracelet. Love this so so much. It will get heaps of wear.

Day 9. My very own zombie pin cushion. He'll be excellent company on those long nights in front of the sewing machine.

Day 8. Some beautiful, original artwork; "Monster kids go trick or treating"

Day 7. Straight from my wist, and straight to me keychain! Thank you very much, I love these.

Day 6. More in the painting series. These are seriously good!

Day 5. The final painting.

Day 4. Most gorgeous necklace. "Phantom Self"

Day 3. Adorable, crochet Candy Corns.

Day 2. Spooky hand made figurines. This is so awesome.

Day 1. Halloween! Gorgeous candle holder and scented (cinnamon?) candle.

All lit up.

Thank you so so much themuppet. You have been a wonderful partner and such a pleasure to receive so many lovely things from you. Hope you have a happy Halloween, now I'm off to eat candy and watch scary movies all day!  Cheesy

27  50s Swing Dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by ViciousPrecious on: August 01, 2010 12:43:39 AM
Hi! Here is the fabulous dress I made for Greazefest this weekend. I made it in a 50s swing dress style but sadly did not get to dance. I did however have an awesome time, saw some great bands and got like a million ideas for dresses I want to make.

The dress is made of some polka dot cotton that has a little bit of stretch in it and is fully lined with a regular center back zip. The sleeves are part of the front/back pieces then there is a separate piece under the arms as well. I didn't finish that part particularly well but since it's under the arms and hidden I didn't mind so much.

This bag was made by Psycho Sue! I love it so much and it totally matched my hair-piece and necklace.

I also made my lovely friend's dress. Originally posted here; https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=354790.msg4148927#msg4148927

Thanks for checking out my dresses Smiley

28  Vintage style party dress. in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by ViciousPrecious on: July 25, 2010 12:59:02 AM
This is the dress I made my friend for Greazefest next weekend. I haven't finished mine yet, eep! Anyway, my friend saw this dress online http://www.pinupgirlclothing.com/evelyn-dress-red-blue-rose.html and really loved the style but not the colours and since she has very... unique proportions I made her this custom outfit.

I used a few bits of some basic patterns I had in my collection but most of it I just made up as I went along and had a few fittings to make sure it was all good.

The bust is gathered along the front panel and I just attached a circle skirt to the bodice. In the photos I have a pre-bought underskirt for fullness.

I'm so happy with how the cropped jacket turned out, it looks adorable!

I guess it's not strictly a finished project because it's not hemmed in the pics! I got wondering though, everyone seems to have an opinion on how to hem circle skirts. How does everyone like to do theirs? Any comments or tips are more than welcome Smiley

What an amazing package ohiodiygirl put together for me! Wow! This was my first swap so I hope they all turn out to be this awesome Cheesy

Lots of U.S. candy, I'm actually eating some right now. YUM.

Transformers stickers, adorable Hello Kitty pocket mirror and a huge piece of Care Bears fabric in the most glorious shade of blue. Ooooh the possibilities...

I love my Decepticons scarf! I might have already worn it yesterday cos I was freezing! The gloves are a perfect fit too and everything is so well made.

I'm pretty sure my neighbours would have heard me squee when I opened this guy up. Danger Mouse amigurumi, ZOMG! He is so awesome. Sorry there are lots of pics but it is such great work and I want to show it off Wink

He stands about 11 inches tall.

My gosh, she got the face so right!

Thank you so much ohiodiygirl you are so fantastic and talented! I hope you are loving the bag and wallet too Smiley

30  Re: Hot Rod Shirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by ViciousPrecious on: May 31, 2010 01:22:48 AM
Just add a tiny pair of dice to the zipper tab and you'd be set!
That's such a cool idea!  Cheesy
What pattern did you use?
This is the pattern I used. I loved the curved neckline and thought it would be perfect for what I had in mind.
