2  A corkboard full of wisdom in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by CoanTeen on: November 10, 2010 06:10:39 PM
I found this cork board at the salvation army for a dollar, and I wanted to dress it up to put on my crafting room wall, to ya know, stick my fashion design sketches on. Lately i've been having a struggle with getting 'older', and the words of a old, faithful, cartoon dog came to mind, to remind me, it's ok to be a 'has been'. I used glass cabochons on the edges, and acrylic paint on the rest.
The quote is from An American tale: Fievel Goes West.

4  Re: Ball Jointed, Obitsu, Pullip and Blythe swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by CoanTeen on: November 09, 2010 10:06:11 PM
I would love to do a BJD swap! how would you match partners? based on doll type? cuze I gotta say it can be hard to work for a doll size you are no familiar with. I have 2 yos, 2 msd, and a Dollfie Dream, but even then their all strange sizes. i think this is where the problem would come in >.< but then, you could probably group people together bases on sizes.

Thanks so much for the tutes! I got it done this morning! Thanks so much!
I took all the tutes into account, and then blazed my own trail, this is what I came up with. I put elastic in the back for comfort too.

8  Bonnet Tutorial, or help? in Costumes: Discussion and Questions by CoanTeen on: October 16, 2010 12:04:05 AM
A friend of mine needs me to produce a bonnet like this one for him, but I'm not quite sure how to do it. Hat making is a new thing fro me, so I can't quite figure out the pattern for something like this. Dose  any one know of a Tutorial for making something similar to this? Or even, what shape the pattern pieces would be? It for an Adult head, not a child.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

10  Boring card table to [Epic] Gameing "Platform" in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by CoanTeen on: October 05, 2010 10:09:31 PM
Well we kind of have a bit of a standard in our house. the down stairs living is out Sanctuary to our geekyness. So when we needed a table to play games on, i knew it had to be something special. I had this very odd shaped card table that was the prefect height to put a keyboard and mouse on when sitting on the couch (The alienwear is hooked up to the TV in the living room so we can play PC games on the sofa. l33+ comfort. LOL), so I took that, and a huge stack of free comics, flyers, and about 2 years worth f game informers and i set to work.
This is my first mod-podge projects. I know i still have alot to learn, but six coats later and it's pretty smooth. I was quite surprised. The house-mates love it so, i would say it's a successful addition to Das Nerd Haus!

Happy crafting!!
