1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Knifty Knitters! on: February 27, 2011 07:05:11 PM
I can't even begin to express how happy I am that this thread exists.

I've recently picked up the "Easter blanket" I started making for my mom for LAST Easter and have decided to get it done for this Easter instead. Last year I got distracted by beadwork and just never picked up my knitting looms again until now.

Pouring through this thread and getting excited about future projects will help keep me inspired and eager.

4  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Tuna substitutes on: February 21, 2011 11:08:47 PM
Oh I so do have a solution for you Cheesy

I make what is called tuNO salad for myself (I'm what I like to  call "Mostly Macrobiotic" so I eat very few animal products.) Anyway here's a link to a recipe:

I use regular mayo rather than the vegan alternatives.
I tend to use nori crushed up rather than kelp or dulse (mainly because I always have nori around) and I adjust the mayo etc to my taste. Lemon juice is also a welcome addition to this recipe as is fresh dill.

I totally need to make one of these - except sideways kind of. Bjorn had a back injury (he's totally healed up now though) and I try to keep his back horizontal at all times to keep pressure off of his poor vertebrae.

Your gorgeous pupcakes make me grin:D
9  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Needle Felted "Leaf" Hair "Buckle on: February 15, 2011 11:40:35 AM

I'm still searching for a nice hair stick to go with this (chopstick = way too long). Once I find (or make) a nice stick I'll add some pictures of this buckle actually in my hair.

This is adoreable. My doxie would love one of these, especially if I could somehow adhere it to myself so he could be attached to me while I work on projects of do other things Tongue
