1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My-Si the Spider monster Pillow on: June 28, 2013 08:18:53 AM
I am normally a lurker but had to add this sweet little critter. He is my own creation and I am currently working on his pattern.
Deep in the world of dream is the dark forest of Nightmare. In this forest is a clan of Spider Monsters. My-Si never cared for scaring as his quiet demeanor never stood out. After years of being made fun of and bullied by his peers, he decided to run away. And waiting till his bullies came out of a dream hole he slipped through into our world. The first house he came through was loud with barking dogs and lots of kids yelling, he slipped himself back into a dream fold and came through in a quiet closet where he laid down to rest. When he opened his eyes a sweet child with blue eyes watched him and before he could run she swept him in a hug. Now the two are inseperable as he found his home protecting her dreams.

I hope you enjoy him!! I know me and my little one do!

8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Fiendish reborn doll tips???? on: September 25, 2010 04:33:19 PM
Oklike a year ago I fell IN LOVE with this doll company caleed Krpyt Kiddies!!! I love these adorable demon babies... Well now I want one, I have reborned a few dolls already(real life looking) and would love to try this! I bought this heritage comp. doll at a yard sale and she's had a rough life needs repainted and a new cloth body... Sooooo, I think she's gonna end up being my demon baby!!!! So now past my excitement..... breathhhhhh.
Ok, I want to know do I have to buy new eyes or can I take hers out and like repaint the color I want? What kind of paints to use(some onesaid glass or oil paints any idea which is best?) How to make the tiny fangs and horns(What kind of clay to use?)... and ideas on a tail....
9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Reborning? I hope this is in the right place? on: September 07, 2010 11:33:55 AM
Ok I have bought reborn kits before now I want to actually reborn one? I bought three dolls at a local flea market... they screamed for me to take them home... they're pretty beat up... ok the one is a no name rubber doll that has arms and legs she has been drawn on by the looks of her... prolly after they chopped of all her blonde hair...the second is a vintage heritage doll or something of the sorts... she to has seen better days, her hair has also been cut off in places and has scuff marks on her face. For these two I want to give them a full make over, the one has rooted hair and the second has a wig.(I believe I want to make a wig for both of them...) and their faces need repainted completely after i get all the other stuff off. and i would like to get them new eyes... the whole nine yards... the third though she'll be tricky she looks pretty old... but she might just have had a hard life like the other two... she is porcelain, with wire armature, her hair is also a wig that desperatly needs replaced(I tried the tips for cleaning it... it came off after most of the hair fell out...) and repainted most of her facial paint is gone...  Angry it makes me upset someone would treat such a pretty porcelain doll like this...They are all beautiful dolls with so much life in their abused faces:) And my niece is dying to play doll nurse to help me Wink If you have any ideas or just a kick in the right direction I'd be forever grateful Smiley
