1  Name of Skirt Type / Pattern Advice? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by Suzuka on: June 13, 2015 11:19:10 AM
I'm looking to make a costume (see below image), and I'm wondering if anyone knows if this particular type of skirt (where there's a different colour on the under pleats) has a specific name, or if there's a pattern or tutorial that features a similar effect. I've had no luck finding one on my own, but it feels like there should be one somewhere - I'd rather not spend the time creating my own way of doing it if I don't have to.

As for the top, I figure I'll try to modify one of the mandarin-style top patterns I have in my collection, but if anyone knows of one that's particularly close (all I have are some retired patterns from Simplicity & McCalls), the tip would always be appreciated.

Thank you!

2  Re: OTHPT2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Suzuka on: March 31, 2011 04:40:53 PM
Everything is so cool *o*

I sent mine out to DeSade13 today Smiley I had to do something that wasn't quite her wishlist (although it fits her likes!) since most things I would've done typically were far too big to be OTT @_@ So I'm nervous but hoping she likes it D:

I also received :O

Aren't they gorgeous? *o* I need to figure the perfect place for them (and fix the little broom, which partially broke off en route).

Ah, so sorry for the delay!  I was so proud of myself for taking pictures before heading out this weekend... only to leave the camera cord on my desk!

The lovely Fontiua (who was so on the ball with posting!  I'm so glad you liked them <3) made me these!

There's the whole set in one image :O

Here's a close up of the top of the shirt - all the main senshi are reprsented!  Cheesy

I don't know how she got a hold of this, but it's epic!  Official Sticker dolls from Japan!

She also one-upped me - while I did a henshin, she did one that's actually also a pen!  I feel all super-senshi like now :O

5  Rainbow Kitty Wooden Toy in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Suzuka on: March 08, 2010 08:27:24 PM
This little guy (he's just over a foot tall) is a laminated wood project made in my 3-D design course last semester Smiley  The wood used is all scrap wood (even the dowel was left over!), and he's painted with acrylic paints, outlined in Faber-Castell markers.  His head and tail move in unison, so his little bell jingles Cheesy

6  Needle Felted Piglet in Felting: Completed Projects by Suzuka on: March 08, 2010 08:20:15 PM
A Needle Felted Piglet, from Winnie the Pooh (Disney design).  Smiley I made this for my slightly pig-obsessed little sister, who has now demanded the entire Pooh set!
