I received from"playswithneedles" Oh they are so Awesome...... I love them it's so nice to have a couple crocheted cloths instead of the ones I usualy make.
I'd love to have the patterns to each of them. The ocean colored one is very pretty & the stich is beautiful!! Cheesy  The creamed colored cloth is pretty too!! They look pretty easy to make.  Also thanks for leaving the tail on the scrubbie & it's neat, I'm not sure if I'll use it for a scrubbie or a soap saver. Thanks for the extra skein.
I love it all!
Thanks for being my partner!!! It was a lot of fun!!!

Up closer & see the beautiful stiches.

Scrubbie or a soap saver!! Very cool!

Thanks again, Love making yours It was a lot of fun!!

134  Re: Poppet/Doll furniture along TO COMPLETE BY THE END OF 2012 in Craftalongs by Sharalee on: April 08, 2012 06:38:11 PM
Hi there, here are the pics of my old Barbie Wardrobe Closet my Mother & I made a long time ago.  There's things in there I forgot about!
Here's the poor front & also has another section in between the other 2 I mention before. It's one big drawer & bottom has 3 drawers. Those are made from shoe boxes cut down, & old wood thread spool cut in half & put on with a screw & nut.

Isn't it terrible poor thing!

The hinge has broke off & the contact paper is peeling off.

Inside the big drawer, it's for the color wigs & hair dryer set I got later. I loved that.

These are the 3 drawers that's at the bottom, under the big drawer. Some of Ken Doll Clothes & accessories & a few clothes for Barbie.
So what do you all think I should do? I will of course take off all the contact paper & sand it some then paint it I think white like in the bathroom so I can wipe it down. Maybe get a transfer or I'll paint some flowers or something on the front doors. The drawers I'll have to redo or make new ones not sure yet. Maybe put some small hooks on inside of front doors. Maybe a gable on top! You all have any Ideas?

135  Re: Raggedy Ann/Andy Help in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions by Sharalee on: April 07, 2012 10:47:43 PM
Yes Andy has hair on the back just like Ann does. I've made many of these dolls. The way I do it, it takes a lot of yarn & time & patience. I have a little cardboard about 2''x2'' & have a long piece of yarn & there's marks that should be on the back of the head, the piece it comes with the pattern. When I start you take a stitch leave 2" tail then wrap it around the card then take another but pull it up so it goes tight to the head, then wrap it around the card again & repeat the same stitch on the head, that's so it doesn't get pulled out so easy then every so often pull off the loops on the card & then just start over doing it again. On Andy I cut the loops but on Ann I leave them it makes it look a little curly. Sometimes I do extra rows of hair because I don't like them to look bald. Hope this makes sense!

Sorry I don't have a pic of the back of the head. Hope this helps. You can PM me is you need more help!

138  Re: I Love Cats Or Dogs Swap; send by 5/1 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Sharalee on: April 06, 2012 10:03:29 AM
I just think these kittys are so cute!! Cheesy  I thought you all, that like cats might like these little guys. It is on toys, dolls & playthings Thread. "funthreads" has a tute of her version.
Here is my version, I can't seem to find my version that my Mom made up.

My Kitty is around 30 yrs. old & has put away for 20+ yrs. It only has the 2 fromt legs where "funthreads" has all 4.

This is a side view. I'm sure you can change the ears out & a different nose etc for a dog.
I just wanted to show everyone this. I think they are cute.

140  Re: yarn kitty making spree in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Sharalee on: April 01, 2012 11:10:51 AM
Boy this brings back memories. My Mother & I made many of these years ago we made a bunch of these, infact I might still have 1 or 2 hanging around somewhere. Also maybe the instructions not sure. I received a store bought one for a present & my Mother copied it, she was very good at copying things. So I'll have to look for it! If I do I'll take a pic of it & If I have my Mother's own pattern, I'll put it on here too. It'll take me a little while to find it. These are pretty cool! Haven't thought of these Cats in years!!

I found my Cat I made maybe 30 yrs. ago somewhere there. She has the plastic eyes & I painted on them so they would look more cat like. I didn' find my Mother's pattern but I found a craft magazine. I know I can't show it here but the name is Quick & Easy Crafts April 1994. It's called a BonBon Cat  a lot newer than my Moms hers was in the 70's I think. It's pretty much like"funthreads" tute. Though the body has 3 sections a upper & 2 lower sections. And I'm not quite sure about her peices of felt in between the sections. But it probably helps.
So anyway I think maybe for a sturdier Cat why not use Fleece & cut strips & tie it somehow & kind of do the same thing. I'll have to think about it. This has not been played with very much & been stored for 20+ yrs.

My 30 yr.old BonBon Cat

Side View, the yarn is very soft. I can't remember the name.
What do you think of the old girl?
