1  Re: Craft with a Fat Quarter Swap Round 4 - Gallery in The Swap Gallery by jemimah on: March 28, 2019 09:09:47 PM
Look at the wonderful things Wulf made for me!! The prints are so cool - I love the modern-arty vibe - and everything is going to be super-useful too Smiley

There's a fantastic hangable storage pod/bin, intricate smaller vessels for little crafty things, a luggage tag (awesome!), pieced coaster, and bookmark. I can't believe you got so many things out of two FQs! And, some map fabric and dalek fabric - perfect!! Cheesy

Here's a closer look at the more intricate things, the little triangle vessel even has matching beads. Everything is so neatly sewn too, they feel lovely and crisp. I'm going to enjoy using them all!

Thank you so much for a wonderful package of goodies!!

And (please forgive the double post) - I did take up the challenge to work on a positive piece for myself. I had a blank brown paper journal that had been waiting to become something for a while. I decided to make it a positive affirmations journal - inspired by all you lovely people and your amazing creativity Cheesy

This is the first page, and I trust it won't be the last.

Thank you again CLM for a marvellous swap!

Oh, the embroidery is just wonderful!!

I was also spoiled with a super-happy package from Smmarrt! Cheesy  Colouring pages with perfect quotes, a wonderfully arty, handmade journal (haha great minds think alike), and a marvellous prayer flag, all wrapped in the happiest paper!!

The fabric of the prayer flag has a delicious texture, and buttons Smiley and the inside of the journal is full of inspiring papers.

Thank you so much!! these will brighten up my creative space even more - I love being surrounded by the creativity of my craftster buddies, and using handmade things every day Cheesy

Wow, the pink is so happy Cheesy even though I'm not usually into pink - gorgeous work!

I got an AMAZING package from onyxnox!! Look at all this aqua and indigo!! and treats - there's even tea that's blue  Shocked which I can't wait to try!!

Here's a close up of the monogrammed (painted/screenprinted?) napkins and the fabulous leather cuff! (you can see how everything matches my wedding ring Cheesy )

It's hard to pick favourites, but I think these handmade sketchbooks/journals are just the best!! lovely thick paper, and gorgeous textured covers, with a perfect quote inside one. And even better, the pages are fastened in with elastic, so refillable! I love these so much Cheesy

AND two wonderful pockety bags from recycled denim - these go so well with my small collection of project bags - my craft room shelves are looking super creative and organised! AND awesome socks! with space cats!!

Thank you so much Onyxnox!! this is such a gorgeous happy package, which has brightened up a stressful time so much!

Everything is just amazing!! So much stitchy goodness Smiley

I received a wonderful, uplifting package from kartiana yesterday Cheesy. She made me two gorgeous hangable pieces, along with a wonderful haul of stickers, and a sweet card. She hid the letters of my name in the card and the "Make art every day" piece - such a cool idea. It's hanging on my easel right now.

My favourite is this gorgeous watercolour hexagon piece - such lovely textures! It's hanging between two jars of paintbrushes and it looks really fab - thank you kartiana!

This gallery is spectacular!! There are so many fab things - it's hard to single them out, as I'm sure I'll miss something. The felted puppy, the hat, the prayer flags, and all the sewn things are amazing, and those microwave bowls look so cool! All the art works and the little pot plant, and the scrappy coil bowl - everything's gorgeous! (That quote about not being friends with someone who judges one's craft-spending cracked me up, I'd love a version of that Cheesy ) Oh, and the flamingo oven glove, and the fairy door, and all the fab embroidery!! Awesome journals!! cat butt!! Every package is fantastic, and I'm sorry if I missed any, because they're all great Smiley

And, I also got ridiculously spoiled by the fabulous quaggy today. Quaggy is another one of you who seems to have lost the ability to count to just one small crafted thing and one extra ...

She sent me one of her fantastic multi-zipper pouches/bags!! and stuffed with goodies - look at all this ...

The colours and fabrics couldn't be more perfect - I love it!! I've admired these bags quaggy makes for while now, and I can't believe I've got one of my own Grin  I always have multiple projects on the go and I use my project bags and pouches all the time - it will be such a pleasure to use this for a special creative project. Thank you SO much Robin!!

Yay, I'm glad it's arrived ave! and very glad it fits!!

I got a fantastic parcel today from JS!!

I just love it - I feel like the photo doesn't really do it justice. It's a wonderful, large sturdy bag, with lots of pockets, and reinforced so it can stand up on its own. It's going to be perfect for keeping art supplies together. And it's so thoughtful - JS used a panda watercolour I did (which is on my Pinterest) to design the panda appliqué, and the panda shapes incorporate pockets! And she also sent some fantastic Sakura micron pens, which I just love to use too Grin thank you so much Jeanne! I feel very spoiled!!

10  Re: Life is Berry Sweet - Strawberry Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by jemimah on: November 06, 2018 11:10:55 AM
Well, it's been weeks and weeks, and gala_apples has been very patient, but it looks like the package I sent to her is never going to arrive  Cry

I made her a hand carved stamp with a bird and strawberry, and a set of gift tags made with it.

And I sewed her a lined zipper pouch - with patchwork and a strawberry appliqué, and a bit of freehand machine stitching to highlight.

I also sent a berry-scented soap, but I didn't take a picture of that.

I enjoyed making them and I'm a bit sad they went missing, I hoped she'd really like them.

gala_apples, you sent me such a lovely parcel - thanks again Smiley Hope you get a wonderful replacement package, and lightning fast!
