I know it would change the size but do you think it would be possible to make this out of worsted weight yarn?

The pattern includes two sizes; crochet thread and a 3-ply yarn for the white parts ... so I don't see why not. But
you need an eyelash yarn for the spikey part or else do a stitch that resembles a spike.
I'm actually in the middle of a bed pillow size (or couch pillow I should say) baby hedgehog and it is MUCH easier
to do as the hooks are bigger.  It is a different pattern tho ... just upping the hook size won't work ... I've tried.
And the little girl's purse should be much easier as well as it will be bigger also.

I did this little one up today in clipart and boy oh boy is she cute!!!

Am in the middle of designing more of these baby hedgehog projects ... a little girl's purse, a bed pillow
and micro baby hedgie necklace .... anymore ideas???

ALSO - using eyelash yarn and crochet thread requires a little more patience so I doubt I'd try one
of these unless I'd done some projects using these items, first.

THANKS again for ALL the Wonderful Comments and hitting the THIS ROCKS buttons!!! I very much
appreciate it!!!  Smiley

My grands have me figured out! They know they have to give me a least a week to 10 days if they want a pixie to gift someone. March was interesting as I had two grandsons come within days of each other wanting a pixie for valentines day. Dont know why a 15 and 16 year old boy would want a doll, do you?? LOL

Hmmmmmmmm - Wonder what Lucky GIRLS received those two handmade cuties!!!  Cheesy  LOLAgain!!!

-squee- This is the cutest hedgehog I've seen! Even got a lil bellybutton and those toes! Wow, how long did this take you?

The 1st one (this one) took longer of course, but about 6 hours total ... crocheting with eyelash yarn definitely
takes longer ... and so does crocheting with crochet thread!!!
