11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / National symbol swap? on: February 01, 2011 01:24:23 AM
Hi all!
I have an idea.
What about a national symbol 1-2 pt swap? I think it would be very interesting, if people from different countries will participate.

I don't speak about the flag or arms, i mean some things are associated with your country (exampl: Russia - bear, matryoshka, Scotland - tartan, etc Smiley )

I think i can organize it after the valentine's day... if anybody wants to Smiley

i'm open to your ideas! Smiley

16  COOKING / Dessert / Cake-in-cup is not cupcake ;) recipe with photos on: September 25, 2010 11:05:54 AM
Hi all!
I want to tell you really cool recipe! Cake-in-cup is not cupcake Smiley It takes not more 10 minutes to cook it and all the ingredients you usually have in fridge, so its good for a breakfast or when you are sad. My friend called it universal antigloom.
You need glass cup and microwave oven.
So, lets go!

You need:
Flour 4 Tbsp;
Sugar 4 Tbsp;
Cocoa powder 2Tbsp;
Egg 1 pcs;
Milk (or kefir, or liquid yogurt) 3 Tbsp;
Olive oil 2 Tbsp;
Any filling chocolate, nuts, raisin, candied fruit, etc
Vanilla, cinnamon.

Put flour, sugar and cocoa into the cup. Mix.

Add an egg. Mix very carefully, flour can remain at the bottom.

Add milk, oil, topping and spices. I use liquid strawberry yogurt (I like berry smell), nuts and raisin as a filling.

Mix. You should get a stiff dough.

Put a cup into the microwave oven. At 1000W 3 minutes to cook. I dont know, what power is my microwave oven, so, I just tested empirically I need 4-5 minutes. And ta-da! your cup cake is ready!

This time my cake is small Sad , but usually its bigger than cup.

I hope youll enjoy it! Wink
17  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Unsweet cookies (a lot of pix!) on: August 07, 2010 10:33:04 AM
Hi everybody!

Ill post here my tutorial for the unsweet cookies. I improvised this recipe few months ago, so this post is an exclusive! Hehe Smiley My english is still not so good, so sorry for mistakes Smiley And thank my hubby for help with the photos Smiley

You need:
Butter 200gr;
Eggs 2 pcs;
Sugar 2 Tbsp;
Salt 1 Tbsp;
Flour 500gr;
Garlic, some cheese, cumin.

So, lets go! Put butter in a bowl and kindle it. Make it cool.

Put eggs, salt and sugar in another bowl. Mix them.

Add kindled butter, mix one more time.
Add the flour small portions, mix.

You should have a smooth viscous dough, which does not stick in hand.

Now divide it on two parts. First part roll to the thickness 0,3-0,5cm. Cut the cookies. I have no a special form, so i use a glass Smiley

Put your cookies to a pan, sprinkle every cookie cumin and put a piece of a cheese. You may use grated chees, but my hubby likes this variant.

Bake in oven for 20 minutes at 180C (356F).
While first part of cookies is baking, we will prepare the second.
Take a garlic. A lot of garlick! Smiley Clean it.

Using a press for garlic, squeeze out garlic in the center of the remained dough.

Mix it by your hands. Remember, that garlic have a very strong  smell, so if you dont want your hand smells garlic, use a thin gloves. Dont worry, cookies will not smell so strong Smiley

Roll it, cut the cookies, put to a pan.

Bake in oven for 20 minutes at 180C (356F).
And this is our cookies:  cheese and garlicky.

Its the best addition to vegetable soup or beer. But they are good to the tea or coffee, if you dont like very sweet cookies.

Thanks for looking. I hope youll like it Smiley
