Heirloom Sewing is also a very tiny store, with limited selection.

I soooo share the frustration.  I am very disappointed in my move here from a standpoint of not having much of a selection.  There's Sew Much Fun in Gastonia and Concord, great selection, high prices ($8-9 per yard), but again, great selection.

The fabric store mentioned in Stallings and the quilt shop on Old Monroe road are really, really tiny and were not worth my drive from Dallas, NC.  Hancock Fabrics on South has a small selection, as does the larger one on Independence.

If you want to drive -there is a JoAnn ETC fabric store in Cary, with others in Winston-Salem, Columbia SC, and other areas scattered throughout NC, but they are a drive.  Is there some type of super hobby lobby anywhere?
