2  Gardening in the gutter in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions by jcorn on: February 20, 2012 07:42:52 PM
This idea was passed along in our Garden Club newsletter this month.  I have a yard, but the sunny side has the absolute worst soil and the moles are a constant nuisance.  I would also suggest using these along a deck/balcony railing or a fence.  I'm sure there are some kinds of clips that could be used to avoid damage.

Some info can be found in this news article:

I'm at about 11 so far and loving the pattern. They're such a fun little project.
I took a couple and sewed them together into a little flower, I've almost got enough for a second flower.

That is totally SWEET!!!!

There are so many awesome things! Tickets (including one for BEER  Cheesy ), vintage images, book pages (German from 1853), sheet music, fibres, tags, stickers, tiny images, leafs, flowers, papers...Holy cow, so much I can't even name it all!

And a few of my favorites:

There are so many things!  Papers, huge paint chip samples, rickrack, ribbons and trims, vintage images, game cards, brads, some hilarious greeting cards, lace, stickers, Nightmare Before Christmas trading cards, frames... I think I named it all, but not sure.  There are sooooo many cool things.

Finally posting the awesome supplies package I received from calluna.  That girl rocked my birthday, believe me!!

SIX packages of Aida / hardanger fabric! Whoo-hoo!
THREE different yarns!!  The brown is a little ravelled in the photo as the cats kept trying to run off with it - they like soft fuzzy things too.
SILK ribbon/floss/charm kit!
So much ephemera!  Vintage cooking theme for the 'Mom's recipes" scrapbook; kids crafting for the school years scrapbooks; LOTS of antique vellum accents for the Heritage scrapbook; just so much beauty and themes that I totally will use!
ATC!!! Grapes (for my kitchen/dining area) - I will scan and upload that so you can all see the goodness/detail - even a cluster of grapes in the corner of it made from MINIATURE purple pompoms!
If I listed everything she sent, it would be the never-ending story!  What a generous birthday-gifter!

Blue rules!  I made a blues hoop for NessaMcTastic which has been received.  She moved in the middle of all the hoopla and hasn't been online so I will post the pic I took before I sent it off:
