4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / CherryBomb the Crobot on: March 16, 2010 09:49:26 AM
Someone's birthday recently so I made this for her.

A riff on the babybot pattern in the book Crobots. Be careful, it seems like there's a couple lines missing from the pattern where the head is concerned, adjust accordingly!

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / For the lil' cultist in your family... on: March 09, 2010 07:28:11 PM
This is a gift for the wife's cousin's daughter... They're big into Lovecraft. I took an "ear flap" pattern I found online and added eyes and tentacles, nothing fancy or overly complicated...

The Kiddie Cthulhu Cap:

Cultist in training, sporting hat...

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / First attempt at filet crochet on: March 08, 2010 10:07:25 AM
Had fun with this... took awhile to get up to speed though.

10 Thread with an 8 hook (probably why I got rectangles and not squares...)

Constructive criticism most welcome btw...
7  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 48 ENTRIES / Horror on a Minature Scale: Picothulhu! on: March 02, 2010 08:57:44 PM
Having finished this not 10 minutes ago... I will say this... never again! Wink

This project was completed using embroidery floss, single and double threads, using 7, 10 steel hooks and embroidery needle.

A new hat for the Hello Kitty fan in the family... Pinkthulhu approves

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Hoppin' on the Kitty Hat bandwagon on: February 16, 2010 06:01:26 AM
So I showed one to her and she wanted one... so... yeah.

This one likely will end up with the niece since it's a little tight on for her.

Also, she'd rather have a white one... Wink

Not bad for a first time, yeah?
10  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Bunny from Amigurumi Two on: February 13, 2010 04:08:30 PM
We've a friend whose had a velvet bunny for ages and every time she puts it in the wash she worries about it. It was recently her birthday so I put this guy together for her. It's from Amigurumi Two by Ana Paula Rimoli. Fun book, the designs remind me ever so slightly of aztec / ancient south american art.

I think he needs a carrot in hand though...
