11  Group 5 = awesome! in The Swap Gallery by Keyzmasta on: April 28, 2010 06:10:54 AM
I tried to wait until I got my entire group....but I just couldn't!
Hebe- your inchies will be added in short order when I receive Smiley

From Nostephot:

(these came in a little inchie storage/display book) I'm going to have to go with vacation as my fav at this moment...because I need one!

From Alwaysinmyroom:

the little cupcake is just darling...

From Pupper:

these were double sided! wowwy! I'm going with the "oh-no" doggy...we just got a puppy and she makes that face a lot.

From malmow:

I love the text behind the B...they all look so vintage. love it.

From leafy_lane:

SO clever: K-Kaput (story to follow) W- worn; Q- quaint; E- Eye-catching; So, when I was taking them off her card I freaked because I thought I wrecked the K by tearing it down the middle....then I realized that is the whole point and laughed. Way to go leafy_lane!

All together now (except Hebe73)

So happy!

12  The one that left me.... in The Swap Gallery by Keyzmasta on: April 28, 2010 05:56:35 AM
Hey all!
Just want to say how FUN and oddly RELAXING this whole experience has been. It's so nice to come home (or be at work) and look at everyone's creations and they always make me smile.
SOOO- I'm making 2 seperate posts due to the abundance of pics.

Here is a few pics of the set before I sent it all over the world. I miss it...but the coolness of my new set will replace its loss Smiley

ALSO- I think our next mission should be to petition the world to add 2 more letters to our alphabet so that when we mount these they fit into an even square/rectangle! anyone with me?

13  Why going to antique malls will change your life... in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Keyzmasta on: March 22, 2010 05:23:24 AM
Hey all! thought I would share my latest creation:
About a month ago I went antiquing and this is what happened Smiley I've been working on it for several weeks. It's finally finished minus mounting it in a frame....

Here are some close-ups...hopefully not so blurry:

This is where it all started...I found it at an antique mall. It's an old game from 1930:

I cut up each piece and went to work with my crayola watercolors:

The game came with about 6 game boards...so I get to do this 5 more times! yay....
it also just occurred to me that this post might belong in the "reconstructed/repurposed" board...but- I'm an inchier, so this board is my home front...and they are so close to inchies...

14  It's been an inchie-tastic weekend! in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Keyzmasta on: March 13, 2010 10:23:57 AM
So I went to a "crop" last night with one of my friends and while everyone else scrapbooked...I inchied!! Everyone in the store kept looking at me like I was the ugly duckling of scrapbooking- but I didn't care!! Smiley

I made this for my friend Liesl...it's a warm up for the Alphabet inchie swap Smiley

3 random cuties as a warm-up:

I bought a stack of antique pictures a while back at a flea market and I finally did something with them! Last night at the crop I happened to find a punch that was the same diameter as these acrylic raindrops I put on top of the babies,

I got this city scape at biglots:

and did this with it:

then I got these artsy fartsy stickers at Tuesday morning:

and this shimmery awesomeness from BigLots:

and mixed them together to make these:

ooo...bad photography on my part....

15  Cards made on my snow days! in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Keyzmasta on: February 17, 2010 08:55:29 AM
Here are some of the cards that I've made the last 2 days when I've been stuck inside because of the weather...i love me some snow days Smiley

Thank-you stamps... pretty straightforward...

I had a fun alphabet sheet and I stole these quotes from some scrapbook paper:
"If you can't make it better you can laugh at it" & " Joy is your birthright"

I cut these quotes from a collage and the burlap ribbon is from the dollar store (whoot!)

en francaissssss:

and I had a sticker of a martini- probably could have been more elaborate on the front but I was creatively drained..i made 3 little olives on a stick for the inside:

yay cards....

16  Re: Alphabet inchies? in New Swap Theme Ideas by Keyzmasta on: February 16, 2010 04:08:04 AM
Hello Hello-
I've never swapped before and I found this post and would LOVE to join a swap like this. For all of you that have never inchied before, I think the ABC theme is a great place to start...I like it because it gives me a little guidance as to what direction I will go in- and yes, you will be addicted!!

As this is my first swap, I'm not sure about being the organizer. I would be up for it- but I don't know if I'm allowed if I've never even swapped before... (haven't read up on that)

Splitting up the letters is a great idea...another thing I was just pondering....would we want to specify that the inchie must have the letter and something that represents that letter? I just posted my new set of ABC's on the papercrafts board... on that set I decided to not put a representation of every single letter but instead just decorate or embellish the letter itself...if you look at them I left letters like E and I and a few others alone... HAVE I CONFUSED YOU YET? It was just a little thought running around...

here's the link to help you be not confused.

17  ABC Inchies in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Keyzmasta on: February 13, 2010 07:18:21 AM
Here is the set of inchies I made my husband for Valentine's Day:

My inspiration was this rub on sheet of letters I bought at jo-anns... I had already used the T-H-A-N-K-S for a card...so I had to use magazine clippings for those letters Smiley

And the finished product: I mounted them on cardstock which I mounted onto the front of a junky frame. Then I foam mounted old scrabble tiles around the outside:

My hubby is a teacher so I thought it would be good desk art!

18  Valentine's Day/Lady/Random Inchies! in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Keyzmasta on: February 12, 2010 04:40:23 AM
Hey y'all! this is my first post on craftster..so- whoo!

This is actually my 3rd set of inchies...but I don't think I would have posted the first 2 sets (gave those to complimentary relatives)

I use watercolor paper as my backing....cheap crayola watercolors...and magazine clippings....and my beloved set of sharpies...and some stamping...

I run the edges over ink pads to give it a 'finished' look.

Thanks to 'phizzychick' and all other 'inchie' posts...this is where I discovered this addicting hobby Smiley

I am now going to attempt to put pictures in this post...if it works- yay for my lame computer skills actually pulling through  Tongue

close-ups: the purple and green designs are corners of stamps...I color them in with sharpies

my inchie inspiration box...lives in my living room and i just stuff magazine pages,cards..ads.

Let me know what you think Smiley
