I made this mini pouch for the mini 13 days of Halloween swap. It was rather easy to do.

This one I made for the Harry Potter Swap:

43  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitting In the Round with DPNs on: October 12, 2010 03:21:48 PM
I just now learned how to knit in the round (and I learned on DPNs), but I had a question:

I am working in garter stitch but one side is coming out looking like stockinette. Is that normal?

also, if a pattern calls for me to divide yarn onto 3 DPNs but I need to use 4 or 5, can I divide on more needles that what the pattern calls for with out messing up the pattern?

These hankies are meant as stocking stuffers for my family this christmas. I am not done with them all yet, but these are what I have finished so far:

45  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Rockin' Guitar Embroidery Panels on: September 18, 2010 07:30:03 PM
I have been hard at work on my dad's Christmas present for about a week now. Every year I pick one person who gets my biggest focus as far as my handmade gifts go, and since I miss my dad a lot right now, I chose my dad. I want to make wall hangings for his "guy room" and he loves music so I got these cute Stitcher's Revolution patterns and have been working on his gift. Here is what I have so far, I will update as I go:

46  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / rantyhippie's wedding planning thread for march 2011 (tentative) on: May 13, 2010 09:16:04 AM
I am getting married for the first time ever next year. So far, all I have is my color scheme (pink and apple green) and I would like to incorporate a western theme but nothing too over the top. I was thinking maybe a chocolate groom's cake with a golden horseshoe on it and a wooden fence centerpiece with faux flowers in my wedding colors on it. I am buying my dress but I may make a sash for it. any ideas for shoes? I won't be wearing a veil but I do plan to wear a tiara, which I will make.
