Hi Manda. Yep, its Retrostar. I was in there ages ago and Fitzy from big brother (and friday nite live) was in there. I was rather excited!! If you go up more there is a button store, and for the pattern drafters, theres harveys that sells stuff.

Also, if u walk up flinders lane (towards russell st) on the right is a store called Maria George. All trimmings and beads!! Fun stuff Smiley

Thanks for the comments guys! I absolutely love this fabric, unfortunately I only bought half a metre. I live in Melbourne Australia so the fabric is from Spotlight. Dunno if they sell fabric online, sorry!

Journal making is actually pretty fun.

All the best things I make, are gifts! So frustrating when you finish something and you really want to keep it for yourself! I made this using copic binding tuturial - http://personal.mem.bellsouth.net/d/r/drv1913/0204.html and the cover is based on the https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=10347.0 tutorial

10  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Christmas gift - First quilt on: December 31, 2005 05:21:17 PM
Thanks guys, must admit, it took a bit. Its pretty easy, more time consuming. I dont have a rotary cutter (would recommend getting one!!) so it was a bit more difficult then it should have been. I did it a couple of hours each day type of thing. Cut all of the shapes one night, sew the strips and all together the next and so on. But, its definately one craft that I came out really happy with what I made (Im VERY critical of what I make)
