21  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: BAZINGA! on: January 31, 2012 03:13:53 PM
I love it! I want one, too! Did you use a different weight yarn for the legs, or a different stitch? It looks different to me, which I like, but it might just be the perspective in the photo.

Yup, I used a different weight ( lighter weight) lol that was the only yarn in that shade in my stash over the holidays and I wanted to finish him so I went with it.....luckily he turned out okay Smiley

i love him.  the is my and hubbys fav show.  would love to make him as well as the rest of the set when you get to them.  will you be sharing the pattern?

Thanks, and I think when I start Penny I will write down my pattern as I create her. I am really bad for not writing down the pattern EVER. I didn't write down this Sheldon pattern....this is something I am working on because my Daughter knows how to crochet...and my Neice wants me to teach her so it would be nice if I could force myself to write down most of my patterns so they could have them too. I will post on here when Penny is done and I will be sure to document that pattern Smiley

Does anyone else find it hard as well...I really find it hard to write down my patterns when I crochet I get in a zone and just don't do it. Or maybe it's just me Smiley

Thank you for the sweet comments crazyalien8 and megstar Smiley
Oh yes, my plan is to make the entire cast...and I am also working on the Harry Potter cast as well at the same time.

I still have to check out pintrest to see what it is all about....I hear so much about it online.

I LOVE TBBT....and Sheldon is my absolutely favorite character! I really enjoy watching the show with my Daughter, we really enjoy laughing at Sheldon and his witty comments. So I have decided to create the cast for us....and of course Sheldon is the first on my list. He was pretty easy to create I completed him in a few nights.

I think next will be Penny. I hope you like him, thanks for looking Smiley

I watermark my photos because I had someone taking them from facebook page ....can someone please let me know is it okay to post pictures with my mark on them??? I didn't save the original photos without the mark. I hope it is okay and I am not breaking a rule by sharing them, I am jsut so happy with the way he turned out Smiley
26  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Harry Potter! on: October 21, 2011 04:07:22 PM
I am sooooooo excited! I finished my first full size character based doll!  My Daughter LOVES Harry Potter so I thought why not start with making the main character...Harry!

I really enjoyed making this ami, it was a nice challenge to try and get him just right. And he only took a few days to create. I could really see myself getting addicted to making character based dolls. My goal now is to make the rest of the Potter cast Smiley

I hope you like him Smiley

Thanks for looking Smiley
27  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / My Creepy Ballerina Bunny! on: August 17, 2011 02:15:08 PM
Here is one of my latest ami's I LOVE how she turned out....it is funny even though I have an idea how I want a doll to turn out when I am starting and I may even have a sketch well they take on a life of their own. I also think I am now addicting to adding tutu's to my dolls as well lol. So here is my creepy ballerina bunny!

I think my favourite part is her slippers Smiley
Thanks for looking Smiley

29  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / My Newest Gal! on: May 16, 2011 04:28:09 PM
Hello everyone, this is one of my newest ami's I just finished up a few days ago! I am really happy with her. And I am sooooo excited I found the perfect yarn for hair at walmart!!!!! It is redheart and I will look at the exact name once I go back but it comes in a smaller ball and it feels like it is between a yarn and embroidery floss! And they don't keep it by the other yarns....in my wal*mart it is over by the needles and hooks. It is perfect for doing hair! I am going to have to go back soon and check out what other colours they have! I usually find doing hair difficult....I don't know it just never seems right when I do hair? But I am sooooo happy with how she turned out....this new yarn is amazing!!!

Oooops and before I forget I created a few more dolls like my Thea Doll. It is such a fast and easy pattern! I can finish one in about two nights of watching a movie with dear hubby and Sasha. Yes I am always crocheting while I watch TV....lol I can't help it! So I thought I would share the pattern just incase anyone else would like to make one.

She is an easy pattern that works up really quickly. And I just used yarn in my stash... some odd left over balls of yarn. I hope it is okay to share a free pattern.....here is the linkhttp://amidorablecrochet.blogspot.com/2011/05/thea-pattern.html Thanks for looking Smiley
