Just adorable!  Great job giving them personality.
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Microbeadz Comic Magnet on: February 23, 2005 08:17:15 AM
Here's a microbead project I did using old microscope slides that came with their own cute little metal frame that I found at a flea market.  Just stamped on the back with stazon and colored in then used sticky tape and beads.  Looks like stained glass.

Your wings are absolutely beautiful!  Wonderful job on the texture and colors and I also like your ribbon butterfly.

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Diaper bag on: February 17, 2005 05:46:26 AM
I was looking at the diaper bag made by Michaela*s_Mom at https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=25955.0 and when she said she was inspired by a posting of yours, of course I had to come look.

What a wonderful bag!  I love the applique on the front.  I hope you love your new sewing machine and do more amazing things with it.

great job!  I love the way you used the beads like a necklace to spell her last name.  The recipient must have been thrilled!

Still trying.....

The vinegar didn't set the color so I am on to other experiments, the latest is to mix the food coloring half and half with fabric medium.  It worked great at marbleing the fabric.  I heat set it for 20 seconds with an iron as the instuctions indicated, now I have to wait 5 days to wash it to make sure it set the color.  I'll let everyone know if it worked in about, oh, 5 days.

I just used the basic Jordy bag pattern

If I can ever get it to set the color on cotton, I'll try some other fabrics

9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Mushy Fake bubble gum machine Valentine on: February 14, 2005 08:38:46 PM
Made this for my dh loosley based on one I saw at splitcoaststampers.com
It's made from a plastic flower pot turned upside down, using the tray for the top and the glass globe is one of those 77 cent globes in the floral dept.  I just covered it with stickers and used glue to stick confetti hearts on it.  Used one of those rub ons for the heart on the glass and filled it with candy before I gave it to him.
