671  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Inchie My Theme Round 3: sign ups to 1/9; send by 2/6 on: December 29, 2013 11:51:21 AM
Whoops. Typo.
I was thinking a three week sign up, since everyone's recovering from the holidays. So that would be the 16th.
But I'm getting antsy for partners, too...so maybe let's move it up to a 2 week signup, and do partners on the 9th.  Sound okay?

Yeah, move it up! I'm ready to get crafting!

Oooooh, I like the idea behind this swap! Dealing with power outages and fighting off a cold at the moment, but if things calm down I'm totally signing up.

Can't wait to find out what themes I'll be crafting!

Me too! I'm using this as an excuse to keep every tiny bit of material that could be craft-worthy.

Hmm, I might give this a try this year! At least I'll get started on it. I'll have to come back and add some projects; they tend to be whatever craft supply I feel the need to get rid of immediately.

But, I do need to finish two things:
1. Chopstick Journal
2. Doubleknit Hat

Yay, I'm glad it got there! The tiny hat has S.P.E.W. knitted into it. Grin

679  COOKING / Dessert / Earl Gray Lemon Squares *with recipe* on: December 17, 2013 10:43:37 AM
Hi there! I wanted to share with you the most wonderful dessert I recently discovered.

I had found this recipe for Earl Gray Lemon Squares in the June 2012 edition of Cooking Light. Since Acadian Driftwood was coming over to visit and I knew her affinity for lemony goodness, I thought this was a fortuitous time to "Make it so".

With our powers combined, we bring you the most delicious lemon squares to date!:

You know, I'm not even that much into lemon squares normally, and I couldn't stop at just one. The crust was wonderfully crumbly and light, and slightly tea-flavored. The filling was the most wonderful creamy texture, and was SO TASTY. Especially with a cup of tea alongside.

Of course, we had to take a complimentary photo in honor of our favorite Earl Gray consumer.

"Tea. Earl Gray. Hot."

I highly recommend these as a fairly simple and wonderful treat. The next version I'll try for the holidays will be gluten-free so my sister-in-law can enjoy them too; I'll let you know how it works out.

Here's the recipe. Go for it!

I have a terrible confession to make to my swap partners.  My keys have been missing for a while now.  My mail box likely has several inchies just inches away from me, but the mail box key is with my delinquent key ring.   Embarrassed  As soon as my keys reappear from what ever black hole my toddlers hid them in I will have access to inchie paradise.  Thank you for my inchies!  I can't wait to drool over their glory.  (Don't worry, I'll put them under plastic before they get wet.   Cheesy  )

Oh no! If that were me, I would totally stake out the mail-person in the bushes, and ambush while the box was open.

It's probably a good thing that I have known my own mail-lady a very long time, and she's pretty used to my antics.
