1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Amethyst "Feathers" Earrings - bugle & seed beads on: March 18, 2010 03:16:12 PM
I was inspired by the "Hippie Shake" earrings at freepeople.com to create my own  Smiley

I coloured in a pattern on brick stitch graph paper that I printed off at www.blackgiraffe.com and set to work. Using clear and amethyst bugle beads I started out with the ladder stitch and built a decreasing brick stitch on top of it. Then, I created a pattern for the bottom strands and finished those with amethyst sead bead picots.

They remind me of feathers so I call them "Amethyst Feathers"
