154  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / sadistic cushions you say? but cute tho?? on: November 15, 2011 07:28:47 AM
I made these bad boys a little while ago as a birthday prezzie for my boyf, we live together so i get to share them too tho Wink

I've always loved https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=383125.0 and i suppose took the inspiration and got a bit carried away.... haha!

planing a severed zombie hand beanbag to carry on the theme... but wont be crocheting that one!!

hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

theyre just worked on the round, kinda made it up as I went along, and then filled them with thick toy stuffing. the eyeball looks a bit squished but he moulds quite easily back into shape. each took me about 2 days hard slog, well sat infront of the telly with a big mug of tea  Tongue

158  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Completed Projects / Re: Nimble Flamingos dancing across the threads on: November 12, 2011 02:09:18 PM
i know how frustrating it can be. i studied textile design in uni about 6 years ago and specialised in screen print. but i wasnt able to do anything apart from design until last year when ppl i know opened up a print studio just a bus ride from my house (i was over the moon when i found out!i'm just way too messy to do it at home). since then ive been kinda retraining myself all the old tricks but i love it still! i'd love to get to a point wher i can screen print lengths to sell  Cheesy

have fun with it, the more practise you get the easier it seems. and post stuff when you do  Grin

I literally just got home from school working on a screen printing project that is just like that - photo emulsion screens layered and repeat pattern so I say hat's off to you! Registration is a b*itch and yours looks damn good.  Smiley

it is indeed! i have a pile of misprint testers too. its one of those processes that you need to take your time and prep everything to the n'th but very satisfying when it comes together Smiley

i'm limited to 2 colour prints atm but im trying to save up and get another screen - ooh endless possibilities

you'll have to post up what you make - would love to see
