1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Alas poor Yorick! **now with a pattern!!** on: March 26, 2010 08:59:10 PM
Forming the back of the skull (there will be 10 sc that are untouched for rounds 18-21)

18: sc 2sc tog, repeat 12 times (13sc)
19: sc 2sc tog 3 times, sc in next stitch, sc 2sc tog 3 times (7sc)
20: sc 2sc tog, sc 3sc tog, sc 2 sc tog (3sc)
21: sc 2 sc tog finish off.

I absolutely love this pattern!  I am making it right now for my best friend who collects sugar skulls. I have just done Row 18, and am wondering if I am supposed to go back and forth with rows 18-21, or do I just skip those 10 sc as if they don't exist and continue in the round?  I don't want to mess it up, so I thought I would ask before I tried it, just to make sure.   Thank you!

Super cute!  I have been contemplating making one also, just wasn't sure if I could undertake it without a pattern.  I think it looks great! Smiley

This is so incredibly unbelievable on so many levels!  #1: I can't believe that you crocheted this.  #2:  The fact that you decided to undertake this as a beginner is astonishing!  #3: The idea that you did not use a pattern and you basically designed this AND you are a "Beginner"  is so CRAZY to me!  #5:  That you made something a MAN would love to have is AWESOME!  (I know several men who would love this.)

I totally hit the "This Rocks" button!  AWESOME AND INSPIRING WORK! Grin
4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Chilly epic fail! (and a few others) on: January 31, 2010 10:05:51 AM
I just can't stop looking at your stuff!  If this is an epic fail, then I hope I fail all the time!  I love the "Chilly" doll, and the seal is so stinking cute!
5  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Chibi punk dollie and bunny galore on: January 31, 2010 09:44:28 AM
I love the punk rock girl!  She is so cute!  I may know just enough to try to make my own without a pattern.  Undecided  I think I will try and see how it turns out, since I have those colors here.  I will post a picture of my own version at some point and time.  I have printed out so many of your patterns, we shall see which one I make first.  Huh  I love the bunnies too by the way!  I love their round feet and hands.

So cute!  I think I may crochet a bunch of toys for my two year old niece for when she comes over!  Thank you for the free patterns!  I love the fruit.  And the detail on the instructions is great!  Can't wait to try it.

I keep finding myself stopping at all of your posts! Cheesy  I just really love your designs and like everyone else says, your stitch work is so tight and neat.  I am immediately going to print this out!   Thank you for your generosity in giving out these free patterns!  I find I need more time in my days just so I can crochet! This is now going to the top of my list. I think I will start it today.  (I feel like I am in the school of Wayuki.  Grin)
9  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Linguine dollydolls *Patterns added on page 7* on: January 31, 2010 09:19:28 AM
I have to say that I searched the internet for good crocheted doll patterns and this was by far, my favorite!  Grin I also made the bear twice, but it kept twisting, so I made the duckies instead!  LOVE THOSE.  I just started crocheting and knitting a year ago, and fell in love with crochet. For the past year, all I have made were scarves and a baby blanket. I got bored with that, and a month ago, bought a Crochet Today magazine.  I made a gingerbread house and realized that it really helped broaden my skills and kept my interest more. I accidentally found amigurumi dolls and immediately found the linguini dolls.  I thought it would be too advanced for me, but I am stubborn, and I finally did it.  Wink  THank you for the free pattern, that is very generous of you! I love your crocheted items. I will be making the monster pin cushion as well.   I will post pictures of my other items when I have a chance.
