Here's everything together Shocked

I wonder what this could be Huh

OMG Shocked A Satyr from Narnia!!! (ps P_E_S_T he also reminds me of the faun from Pan's Labyrinth which makes me extra happy Cheesy)

Just look at the detail in his face and horns!

I love him Kiss

I also got a lovely magnetic bookmark (How did you know I wanted one of these!!)

Some gorgeous collage paper...

And last but not least... A lovely card

12  Upcycled Sweater Mittens in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by theartofarejay on: March 09, 2016 08:55:25 AM
These mittens have been on my crafting to-do list for a couple weeks now! I need to refine the pattern I used a little bit (the mittens are a tiny bit too tight for my big mannish hands haha) but overall I'm really happy with how they turned out! These are very simple, quick, and inexpensive to make. Since it was my first pair (and I had to rip out A LOT of stitching Angry ) They took me about 2 hours. I anticipate I can get that time down to an hour or less. You can't beat the price though... they only cost me a dollar or two to make!

Here's the link for the tutorial: www.forestquilting.com/images_home_page/mitten_directions_2012_Nov.pdf

Thanks for looking!

I finally recieved from gala_apples!!! Cheesy First of all, she made me this beautiful leather pendant with an owl stamped on it Cheesy I love it so much, I was really hoping she would send something made of leather because I've seen her work. The colour is just perfect Cheesy

(PS I'm not sure why the photo won't orientate correctly when I upload it, sorry everyone!)

She also spoiled me and made a bunch of owl note cards with matching envelopes! So cute!

Thanks gala, I love everything Cheesy

I have been sick and haven't been able to post pictures, my partner just messaged me and said she will post pictures for me. I LOVE what she made me... She is SOOOO talented. Thank you SO MUCH rjannelle

No worries! I'm so glad you like everything Cheesy

First off, I made a Supernatural themed canvas bag!

I also made a Yoda mug rug from flannel inspired by Alliekat's pinterest! This guy was hand sewn.. it was quite a challenge.

Next is a felt Loki doll!

Last I did a mini My Little Pony picture. I wanted to try out my watercolor pencils but it kind of ended up looking like pencil crayon Tongue

I've received the most amazing package from Alliekat914 Cheesy She's such a talented crafter AND she really spoiled me!! I feel so lucky to have been paired up with her!

First off, she made me two Harry Potter themed tshirts and a canvas bag. "I solemnly swear I'm up to no good" is one of my all-time favorite quotes!

NEXT we have a Daenerys Targaryen cross stitch hoop. I love this SO MUCH!! Alliekat914 managed to make her bad ass AND adorable simultaneously.

Alliekat914 also made this awesome quidditch themed mug. I've been pining over mugs like this on the internet for a while now!!

There's seriously more. She made me a keychain with a little Hogwarts and house themed charms. The round thing is a pocket mirror with (I'm assuming..) a Green Man face on the front of it (how on earth did you know I love The Green Man??)

LASTLY she sent me all of these other goodies!! Included in the pile is a customized The Hobbit (right?) themed day planner Cheesy

Seriously everyone, Alliekat914 is the best! I only wish I would have sent HER more!! Thanks for the awesome swap Grin

19  Colder Weather - Watercolour Painting in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by theartofarejay on: February 05, 2014 09:50:37 PM
"You got a gypsy soul to blame and you were born for leavin."

This painting is a recreation of a photo I took of a good friend of mine that I absolutely LOVE! It's my third attempt at using watercolours and is just on paper.

I wanted to challenge my artistic abilities with this piece so I gave myself a limited timeline. I hoped that by doing this I wouldn't pay so much attention to minor details and concentrate more on capturing the emotion of the photograph. It ended up taking me about 3 and a half hours to finish. All in all, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

C&C appreciated Smiley

20  Re: Secret Santa 2013 Swap Gallery--Opening Weekend this weekend! in The Swap Gallery by theartofarejay on: December 08, 2013 11:19:30 AM
The swap gallery is looking wonderful so far!! I had my suspicions about who my swap partner was (her and I did a swap together a few years ago so I recognized the address) and was right! Here's what the lovely Peppermint McSprinkleson aka .. crafted for me:

I'm pretty sure she made me a knitted wrist cuff and a place mat... correct me if I'm wrong ..!

I just love the fabric she used! AND she threw in some chocolate... my weakness!

Here's a closeup of the owl and stitching detail:

And the back:

Thank you .. Cheesy you did a wonderful job!!
