1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Tiny teddies on: October 18, 2017 11:03:57 PM
I am currently hooked on making teddybears.I have been trying to see how tiny I can actually make one

2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Softpots on: October 17, 2017 01:31:05 AM
On Sunday afternoon Tony and I had booked a workshop with Annie Softpot over in Knaresborough.  It is hard to believe that the softpots are simply old stockings. Annie was an absolute delight and we had a smashing time learning how to create our own 'softpot'.  Well worth booking a workshop if you fancy a trip over that way.  As you can see, I got a bit carried away when I got home.  I also have another three outside in the garden

3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Tinned teddy on: October 14, 2017 09:06:05 AM
Tiny mint tins from Aldi are just the right size for a tiny bear made from teenie weenie fabric scraps.

One was carved from a piece of my son's old pine bed and the other was a scrap of lime

5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Another Love Spoon. on: May 17, 2017 09:13:58 AM
Last year my son was throwing out his old pine bunk bed and asked me if I wanted the wood to burn on our wood burner.  I kept a few pieces to practice carving love spoons.  I really like the grain in pine but it isn't an easy wood to carve.  It is a bit splitty,

Before I began creating wool painted animals I dabbled in wool painted landscapes.  They are really satsfying to create

8  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Felting machine on: May 04, 2017 11:13:41 PM
I created this by hand and then decided that I would go over it all with the felting machine that I have borrowed.  It has lost all its 3d fluffiness so I may add some extra on the ears just to make it look a bit more realistic

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Granny shawlette on: April 29, 2017 11:40:50 PM
I finished this last night.  It is made from 4ply acrylic yarn and will make a nice lightweight cover up for the summer

10  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Blue Budgie on: April 25, 2017 03:01:03 AM
My first attempt at a budgie.  I would really appreciate any advice from an experienced felter
