we did this with my campers at an arts camp last summer.
it's really really easy to do with kids, and they love swirling around the shaving cream, and ultimately rubbing it all over their clothes by the end...haha.
13  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: CD Disco Ball on: December 15, 2005 10:36:08 PM
I saw this on some kids show when I was babysitting years ago. They heated up the cds with a hairdryer before cutting them to soften them up and make them easier to cut.
Looks great!
14  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / crocheting hats backwards... on: October 12, 2005 10:30:21 AM
Hey everyone, I've been crocheting for about 4 years and my favourite thing to make is hats. I've figured out most of the things I've crocheted on my own.  It seems as though crocheters make hats starting from the top and work their way down.  I guess I'm a little bit weird, because I never start from the top, and when I do, It looks really weird.  Does anyone else start from the bottom of the hat and work up, or am I a lone soul?
15  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Another boyfriend gift. on: August 09, 2005 04:05:26 PM
if you went for the book/journal decorating idea, you could punch holes in the cover and put grommets or eyelets in is for sort of an alternative look.
If he writes or plays music, you can tell him to write all his thoughts/poems/songs about you in there.

hey olive+orange
I live in Thornhill ontario and I work for the town of markham camps.  It is actually a dance and drama camp where I am the drama specialist, but we are always looking for new craft ideas.

Hey, this is my first time posting, but I've been lurking as a guest for 385792637856293875 years. (seriously)
I am a camp counsellor and I need fun and easy craft ideas for the campers to do.
They need to interest campers between 5 and 12, be virtually costfree and be fun and exciting.
I hope you guys can help.
