1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Making felt slippers on: October 26, 2005 11:18:58 AM
I wasn't sure where to post this but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what to use for the bottom when making felt slippers? I don't want them to be slippery and cardboard wouldn't last if I wanted to wash them. Thanks Grin
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Question about crochet stitches on: May 01, 2005 06:26:51 AM
Ok, I have about 3 books that explain the dc the same way. The chain and then the first row the hook is inserted under the top loop, turn and the second row insert hoop under both loops. What do I do when following a pattern? do I always make two rows, one under 1 loop and then another under 2 loops? This is confusing? Please help.

I just saw a beautiful brooch on a website and I would love to make it! Does anyone know if this is done by crochet? How would you go about making this? It's the one on the far right in the accessories. (hope I posted this correctly)

4  UNITED STATES / Massachusetts / Cool fabric stores in the Boston area?? on: April 07, 2005 07:33:16 AM
Can anyone tell me where I can find a fabric store in the Boston area (I'm on the northshore) with modern and current fabrics? Please do not suggest JoAnn's.... All their fabrics look like bed sheets or like they're all from the bargain bin. Thanks
5  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Please help w/ new sewing machine on: March 08, 2005 05:19:11 PM
I just got a new sewing machine! It's a kenmore mini ultra and I'm having such a difficult time threading the bottom part (bobbin?). Angry I have read the manual and still no luck. Does anyone have this machine that could shed some light on what to do with the extra thread I keep getting stuck with at the bottom. Thank you all so much!
