11  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Decked Out for Deathly Hallows Part II (Signups CLOSED; Sendouts 7/1) on: May 18, 2011 03:24:00 AM
I feel like I'm going overboard with the extras and I may actually have to bind my hands to get everything to fit in the box. Almost done! WOO! (Yeah, I got excited. Can you tell?)
12  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Squirrel Paws Furry Earrings on: May 08, 2011 07:30:49 PM
I definitely don't think these need a mature tag but whatevs.

These are pretty awesome! I'm torn between thinking that I'd like a finished cap on the end and thinking that they are pretty perfect the way they are. I know lots of folks that could pull these off every day but I think I would have to limit it to costumes a faires. I'm afraid I'd get a little tired one day and nod off, wake up and think something was attacking me, then rip my ear off trying to "defend myself".

Beautiful work!
13  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Matchbox Swap round 5 Gallery on: May 05, 2011 12:36:06 PM
This arrived a while back but unfortunately I was not here to receive it Cheesy  I was in the middle of tornado cleanup in Central Arkansas and completely forgot about the swap until my husband called me to tell me that a package arrived. Thankfully, I have a very understanding partner and now that I've seen what she sent me... well... she is amazing and I hope she isn't disappointed by what I made her!

Anyway, onto the photos!

this is a picture of the handmade box along with the extras that didn't fit inside. The beads! I LOVE THE BEADS! There is a little bead that looks like corn and I have JUST the project for it!

This is a closeup of the amazingly drawn cover. I am completely in love!

The insides!!! I have no idea how she got all of that to fit! There are 3 twilight guitar picks, a handmade pendant (underneath the skillet, next to the flowers) a wire ring, a stag charm, a strawberry patch, clothespin, cute little skillet, and shiny sequinesque flowers.

Thank you, Strawberryh!!!
14  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: ribbon sculpture is my friend on: March 02, 2011 07:27:36 PM
I adore the ladybug! Is that ribbon dotted like that when you find it?!

What fun these all are!

Thanks! I got the ribbon at hobby lobby and it already had the black dots on it.

I started making these for my daughter so I thought I'd share!

That is awesome! Excellent job.
17  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Advent Elf on: December 02, 2010 09:38:21 PM
Very nice!  He would scare the glitter out of me if I stumbled upon him in the beginning stages, but the finished elf is so adorable!
18  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Scene Wreath on: November 25, 2010 12:32:51 PM
Thanks, guys!  Most of the wreaths we've done have been for kids/toddlers, so I was probably still in a baby mindset Cheesy  I'll replace the shoelace ribbon asap and try to add some more embellishments (plus photograph on a different background so you can see the pendant at the bottom)

I was afraid to make it too cluttered but after looking at it again, I think it's too bare.

I'm so glad that you left such great advice!
19  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Scene Wreath *UPDATED* on: November 24, 2010 09:28:00 PM
My friend and I just started making fabric wreaths and I'm looking for a little feedback.
This is our first completed embellished wreath and it's targeted for an emo/scene kid.

If you like it, let me know. If you hate it, let me know what you hate. If you are indifferent then just say hi!

Thanks for the feedback, I made a few changes and want to see what you think.

20  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / I was bored on: May 11, 2010 11:58:20 AM
I can't decide if I'm done with it or not... it seems unbalanced. Maybe I should collage the table part as well?
