anyone know how to make it?

12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Long camo skirt on: April 10, 2005 07:27:42 AM
ok, basically i had too much fabric in my room and wanted to use a big piece as appose to making a skirt, then a purse, then wrist cuff or whatever...

am i really that stumpy looking??  Sad

the fabric is way cooler in person/up close, it has like stripes in it...sorta like pinstripes...

i like it, it looks like a little boho, but not as soft or whatever...i went to school wearing it and one of my guy friends sang destiny's child "i need a soldier" like everytime he saw my that day.
13  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / HELP! holes in jeans!!! and i DON'T want em there!! on: April 09, 2005 07:24:25 AM
my friend has a fav pair of jeans that she wears all the time, but they got a hole like right on the ass part! i told her i would mend them, but now that I have them i'm not sure how.

I've seen iron on mending fabric...does anyone know what I mean? and they have it in jeans material...does this work? plus they don't have the color i need!

any info on how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated!
14  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / To cut or not to cut? on: April 03, 2005 12:00:53 AM
My hair is super hard to deal with (check out my icon picture), that is how thick my hair is naturally, no teasing or whatever except its even longer now!!
and i want to cut it short because its so hard to deal with plus its so hot in the summer anywayz!
but i don't want to cut it and have the stereotypical "afro".
this is me (i don't even know if short hairstyles will look good on my long narrow face)

i wish my hair could look something like this....

but even if i cut it, it will still be curly...and that will look weird
anyway bottom line....Do you crafters think that I can pull off a short style and if so, what should it look like??
15  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / House warming gift for metalhead! on: April 02, 2005 03:02:19 PM
my boyfriend is moving into a new house and I want to give/make him something really awesome/unique.
his fave colors are black, blue and red (ofcourse)
He plays the guitar and drums. and he likes metallica (the old stuff), shadow's fall...shit i can't think of anything else at the moment  Roll Eyes
and also he's going off to school in the fall, so perferably something he can take with him.

i was thinking a mirror with assorted guitar pics on the frame...like a mosaic...any other ideas?
16  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Energy Drinks?? on: April 02, 2005 12:29:09 PM
I've been realllly tired and stressed lately. I think it's due to the fact that i attend two schools and have term papers and finals due. i'm anemic and have been taking iron talets but they don't seem to be very effective, i'm constanly falling asleep.

Do energy drinks work? My boyfriend said that they only work for a short time and are basically just caffine and sugar and stuff, and that it would be better to just eat a more nutritional diet.

or can anyone give me a healthy alternative to energy drinks? what are some foods/drinks that would really boost my energy?

19  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / looking for tutorial for this Coach bag on: March 28, 2005 10:14:22 AM

20  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / swim suit too big!!! on: March 26, 2005 10:54:52 AM
i bought this swim suit on sale and didn't bother to try it on (silly me) figuring a size XS would have to fit. but unfortunatley the bottom is to big. its just a regular side tie bikini thingy.

so to make it smaller do i simply put in darts? or is there so super secret bathing suit trick?
i decided to check with the craft gods (you all) to see what i should do before hacking my suit up.
