1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / I taught myself to make these beads today! on: January 01, 2010 03:27:49 AM

I can't wait to make them into something.

I had always wondered how they were done until I saw a video tutorial showing you how to make them. I have difficulty working out written down tutorials I really have to see something being done before I *get* it... I'm so chuffed!!

Now I am going to have to buy some more Swarovski beads... oh that's a shame
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / making stretch bracelets - measurements query on: January 01, 2010 03:23:30 AM
im new to the forum
i've been making beaded jewellery on and off for several years and after recently being made redundant have decided to take it up again - i plan to use up all my beads and supplies to make gifts and try and save a little cash
i would like to make stretch bracelets as they seem to be quite popular amongst my tween nieces - just wondering how to work out sizing
i usually use my daughters wrist (age 10) as a guide, but my nieces range between 5-17 so its going to be hard trying to make sure the bracelets are not too loose or tight
could anyone help me with standard measurements for stretch bracelets?
many thanks x
