1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Quentin Tarantino swap anyone? on: October 18, 2013 05:21:59 AM
You mean like an Inglorious Grindhouse: Part Deux swap?

2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Re: does anyone know how to make a wax seal? on: September 23, 2012 05:40:55 AM
Since casting one from metal is probably out of the question, I'd recommend trying to carve the seal into a piece of soapstone. I've done it before and it works great, you just have to be careful with very thin lines and features as they might crumble out of the finished seal. But this one looks doable, depending on what size you're going for and whether you can get your hands on some decent sealing wax.
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Pattern for this awesome "friendship bracelet"? on: April 30, 2012 04:51:32 AM

4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: 2011 costume idea for this corset I finally finished... on: July 07, 2011 02:29:47 AM
Highwaylady? Sort of like "Dick Turpin" for women?
5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Incogni-cthulhu, a yeti and a Jack-o-teddy on: January 05, 2011 02:04:35 PM
So I was invited to the monster-themed birthday party of a friend I barely know. Crazy, isn't it? I had a week to make a costume and get her a present, and literally no idea what she would like. So I used what I knew and a whole lot of FIMO and hey, presto!

An Incogni-cthulhu fridge magnet

A yeti pendant

.... and a Jack-o-Teddy Pencil Topper.

So I am reasonably sure that everybody knows what a yeti is and the cthulhu is wearing  Groucho glasses so the investigators won't find him. The Jack-o-teddy is actually based of a fantasy creature called a "Jack-o-Bear" which looks like a bear with a Jack-o-Lantern instead of a head. Its from an amazing fantasy world called "Glorantha" which is featured in some fantasy role playing games that we both enjoy. But because I couldn't make it as scary as it was supposed to be, I ended up making a cuter "teddy version".

Right, this was not only my first ever attempt at polymer clay, this is also my first ever posted project on craftster! And sorry about the pics, I took them at four in the morning before the party  Tongue
6  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Inglourious Grindhouse: A Tarantino/Rodriguez Swap (SU 12/30-1/13/11 SO 2/14/11) on: January 05, 2011 01:27:17 PM
I've never done a swap, but I want to  do it sooooo much! Especially since RR got included! I'll think about it for another day before deciding.
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Quentin Tarantino Swap? on: November 25, 2010 08:01:11 AM
Any chance of making this a Quentin Tarantino/Robert Rodriguez swap? They are constantly working on each others films and their styles are very compatible. I'd be up for one!
8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Bigfoot Adoption Plan on: June 26, 2010 10:52:04 AM
These are beyond and over the mountain top cute! And I if I ever catch a guy with a stick poking a bigfoot... I am going to hang on to that guys arms so that the bigfoot can poke him right back! REVENGE! ^^
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Re: do you know this flower pattern? on: June 25, 2010 02:03:24 PM
Hmm... a friend of mine used to make them, and I'm damn sure I have instructions to this somewhere. You're right about being able to make them though, there actually fairly easy to do if I recall correctly. I'll see if I can come up with a tute but I might be a while. I am slow...  Grin
10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: WALK TO Lucas Arts Adventure Game Swap. LOOK AT Lucas Arts Adventure Game Sw on: June 05, 2010 06:21:46 AM
This sounds brilliant. I love the old Lucas arts AND the sierra games... and the first discworld game, before the graphics became so smooth and boring. Wink
