1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Needlesculpted Newborn Baby Doll on: July 16, 2010 01:39:23 PM
I bought this pattern awhile back and finally got around to making one. She has a bellybutton, an outie, a butt, dimples in her hands and knees and elbows, toes and fingers. She was easy to make and I think this is gonna be my new addiction for awhile!

Preemie baby clothes fit her, but in the pics shes wearing an altered onsie. It was 0-3 months when I started out. Newborn baby socks fit her, and hats will with some altering. The pattern came with directions on altering the onsie...which is also super easy to do.

I can see the stitches on her nose so I need to work on that, but all in all it was a very fun project and I already have my sis and mom and of course my kids wanting one. What do u guys think?? Any ideas suggestions would be awesome!!

How I can I make her smell like baby powder?
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Steampunk Zombie Poppet on: June 21, 2010 03:46:23 PM
Here's a poppet I made for a personal swap for Alchamy513. She said she wanted a zombie or something steampunk, so I decided to do both. I didn't take too many photos before I sent her....too excited to see what Alchamy513 would have to say. On her belt that you can't see in the pics, it has gears on it. I also didn't take any without the aviator cap and goggles on, but she has stitches on her forehead kinda hidden byher hair that have some blood dripping. Anyway...here she is. I like how she turned out....hope u do too!

I finally feel that with this poppet and the one I made Silverwing for the mini poppet swap came out just like I saw them in my head. Figured out the eyes and how to make the noses with clay.
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Nichi Mini Boy Pattern...has anyone made one?? on: January 16, 2010 02:56:50 PM

4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My 1st poppet...just the beginning NOW WITH FINISHED PICS & FRIENDS!!! on: January 07, 2010 11:30:57 AM
Thanks to all of you kind craftsters for your responses and help, and to ghilie for the poppet pattern...you ROCK!!

My first poppet is this Coraline poppet. I really hope to hear back from everyone!! Good or bad...

I wanted to dye her sweater and tried, but it didn't work, so I had a very talented lady on eBay make one for me. it hasn't arrived yet, but I have seen the pics and it looks like the one Coraline received from the other mother.....can't wait!!

Plan to make her swampers and rain coat, but I wanted to use yellow pleather, they don't sell it around here. Every other color, but yellow!!

I love this pattern so much I plan to make tons more!! Maybe a whybee to go with Coraline and i know after seeing the incredible pics on here that I will be making a winged Scottie and a circus mouse!!

Thanks for the boots pattern and I have to say thanks for the pattern from Allsorts and her awesomely cute softie scottie dog pattern!!
The cat was my own creation...Now I can give it to  craftywerewolf...my daughter!!!
