1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Completed Projects / Re: Screen Printing with Drawing Fluid and Screen Filler - A How To at Home! on: April 09, 2013 07:27:47 AM
this is really cool- I'd always wondered how to screenprint.  Thanks for demystifying!
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Baby Blanket! on: October 28, 2011 02:36:07 PM
That's a gorgeous blanket!  And thank you for posting the link to the video.  I never think to go to look for videos to show me new stitches, which is silly because they are so much easier to learn that way.  Thanks again!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: the trumpets of doom on: November 30, 2010 06:38:52 AM
That's awesome!

I'd say leave it as is.  The simplicity makes it look badass :p; adding music notes to it would turn it into the bad kind of cute, if that makes sense?
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Magic scarf on: November 13, 2010 07:59:55 PM
This is GORGEOUS!!!  But I'm afraid I still don't quite understand how you made it Sad  .... could you give the name of the pattern?  Thanks so much for posting this!
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: My very first Dress!!! on: September 10, 2010 07:43:01 AM
I think you look very glamorous!  If you're worried about looking fat from the back, just get a see-through length of fabric and use it as a shawl.  This is what I do with all my backless dresses- handy for keeping warm in the evening and covering your shoulders/décolletage if the wedding is in a church.
6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: I <3 America -- 50 state embroidery on: August 03, 2010 04:14:56 PM
That's really cool!  Now I want to see if I can do something cool with our provinces and territories.... Nunavut might be a bit of a b***h though ;p  (see link for explanation of the Canada joke)  http://geology.com/canada/nunavut.shtml

The original cutout would be a good thing for elementary kids learning shapes and geography, too- I'm going to pass it on to a teacher friend of mine.

Thanks for posting!
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: one selfmade dress coming right up! on: July 27, 2010 12:48:26 PM
My mom always told me that skirts should hit just below the knee, where the leg narrows from the calf.  It makes your  legs look more shapely (I usually shorten to 2 inches above my knee, after which my thighs start to widen Sad You look really good in it regardless, though!
8  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: corset boots on: July 16, 2010 06:01:21 AM
You are a GENIUS!  I have the same problem. (Seriously, do the women they use as lasts never walk?  I'm hardly an exercise fiend, and I've never once found a boot that will zip up that last 2 inches.)

They look really good.

As for the lace vs. ribbon, I'd say it depends on your outfit.  If you're hosting in a more girly outfit, I'd go with the ribbon, but if you're dressed in a domme-y outfit, I'd go with the lacing.  Maybe even make the lacing thicker if it's a big crowd, so they can see it clearly at the back.
9  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: My Little Kelpie on: June 20, 2010 08:39:01 PM
After a while it started looking like a My Little Pony , so I just went with it. With the red eyes I was going for malevolent, but I think I ended up with something between constipated and sleepy.

Hee!  There's nothing that says Kelpies can't be sleepy and/or constipated though, is there?  Even malevolent sea creatures have off days.

Off topic:  I went to your geek crafts site, and I saw the ST diaper cover, which is really cute, but my wifey tells me that the 'red-shirt guys' always get offed by the end of the show.  This doesn't apply to red-diaper-cover babies too, does it? Shocked
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Leaf Dress (Lots of Pics) on: June 17, 2010 07:32:53 PM
Wow.  This is amazing.
