571  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Vintage Craft Projects / Re: 1950's and 60's knitting patterns scanned - come'n git 'em on: May 20, 2005 12:09:28 AM
Wow, you're my hero of the day !!! Just discovered this vintage section of crafster, and then YOUR patterns !!! Thank you so much for taking the time to do that, and sharing !!!
Your patterns are really cool, PLUS I love that you chose the bigger gauge ones... The problem with most patterns of those days are the super tiny needles !!
I found a pattern book from the 70s in an opshop the other day, but they're nothing as cool, (and kids knits too..) ! Thanks again !!
572  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: EXTRA EXTRA! MUST SEE KNIT BOOTS! on: May 19, 2005 01:22:55 AM
Oh, I've once found a pattern for adult sizes knit (not crocheted !) ugh boots, but without pic of the finished product.. Still haven't tried it..
But now these beauties have re-motivated me, but I might try crocheting them, cause they look so awesome, and I have the perfect yarn too !!!!
Yummy !

Your bag turned out so cute! How long did it take you to crochet the whole bag?
Thanks, it probably took me a couple days working regularly on it. It's really a "little" tote, I guess if you really focused on it you'd be able to finish it in an afternoon.

... Just wondering : What's your favorite free pattern right now ? Like the one you know you want to do several times ?

Mine would have to be the little textured tote

I've just finished this one for my mum's birthday, but I know I'll make more

... What's yours ?

That's also what I said to myself, would soo love to see all the other rejected projects.. (accepted ones we'll see later ...in the book!!)

Anyhow, here's mine.

At the time of submition, I had finished only the adult maryjane, and shortly after I finished the baby ones.
I still haven't decided, maybe I'll submit one of them to Crochet Me.

Hope other will show too, even with no access to pattern !!

..and btw, this debbie submition thing was great, that's the occasion I needed to learn at last to crochet. And it worked, I'm so happy now that I can look both at knit AND crochet patterns...  Smiley

Thanks, I really like that tote too, but like I said, it's crochet. I know, wrong place Wink, but I wanted to show all the stuff together...
