1  Re: Once You Pop Swap 2010-Sprintime Gallery!! in The Swap Gallery by Zombina Skeleton on: June 13, 2010 06:46:41 PM
Shew, the last couple of weeks have been chaos! I got my amazing package from my angel! Beeker, I am so sorry for the time it took me to get pictures up, thanks for being so patient <3 On to the goodies!

Here is the stash shot! If you think it looks awesome, just wait.

These are already planted on my terrace!

How she managed to get everything into the Pringles can I will never understand! So Monster tattoos, pencils, origami  Tiger (the paper is SO fun) and Scoooooby Snacks!

Get your Wist ready ladies! This is so beautiful, the picture does not do it justice. It also opens!

I haven't taken the dice bracelet off yet! Can't wait to get wear the other two! The pendent on the necklace is just perfect for me. I'm on bed-rest atm, so my husband had to take the photos and he is unfamiliar with my camera so forgive the photos Sad

Last but not at all least, my favorite part (and that's saying something!) The wind chime! This was the "lid" of my can. I would have NEVER imagined that keys would make such a pretty sound, but this is the prettiest sounding wind chime I have ever heard! Here is the top...

and the keys!

Beeker thanks again for my package!

There just isn't words for how AMAZING Propaganda is! I got his package (as well as another craft package *score*) the day I got out of the hospital, so somehow its even more special <3 Enough of my gushing (I think I totally have a craftser crush) on with the photos!

Okay this one has some backstory, I just recently completed my D&D room (its on craftster, if you are curious where this awesomeness will be hanging) and there is this funny story that somehow EVERYONE who plays D&D hears at some point. The Gazebo story is a classic! Here is a link to the story <3 http://www.netfunny.com/rhf/jokes/98/Jul/gazebo.html

So Propaganda drew me the freaking Dread Gazebo!!! I am having it framed as we speak *squee* The picture really doesn't do the amazing coloring, I know its hard to believe but its even cooler in person!

Next up we have the Yeti and Dragon Ferret toys! Luna and Lycan have NOT put these down since they got them. The Yeti has a rattle to it which makes it even more amazing to the woozles, and the dragon is this real slinky material, filled with something that crinkles (because its all I hear until they pass out lol) Propaganda also sent some raisin snacks for the babies but they were gone before nightfall hehehe

Omg this makes my heart smile! Ladies and Gents meet Lycania, the badass punk rock werewolf!! I can not believe that he hand sculpted her face! I spent like 45 minutes just looking at it and giggling in glee! The earrings are adorable, all the piercings...just all of it!

here is the body shot, and I threw the remote in there so you could see how big she is!  Grin Check out her adorable pink claws!

and a close up of her hot pink hawk!

Thanks again for the greatest package ever!!!!!

5  My dice book! in Completed Projects by Zombina Skeleton on: May 30, 2010 12:37:35 AM
I've been playing D&D for years, so OF COURSE I have 10,000,000,000 dice. I'm a bit of a dice addict actually  Roll Eyes So usually I have four or five sets that I play with and all my others adorn a giant wooden bowl in the middle of my game table! I have made several dice bags, and just can't seem to make myself happy with them. So the other day I was cleaning out boxes of old books, and found this Book of Days from the 40's and got the idea for this!

Here is the book cover. It is very old so its got some age stains, but I think it kinda adds to it.

TADA! My handy dandy, dice book! Around 50 dominoes make up the border and compartments. 5 small compartments, 1 larger just because, and of course the notebook space!

Close up of the box

And here is the lid of the box. Random nerderyness! The three at the top are drawings I did. My husband as a dwarf is my favorite <3

I hope you like it! Comments and Feedback are always welcome <3

6  The Adventurer's Guild D&D Room!! *Very Pic Heavy* in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Zombina Skeleton on: May 23, 2010 12:31:05 AM
My husband and I play D&D with our friends at least once a week if not more so. That being said we have been working on our perfect game room idea for years. About a month ago we started working on it, the first thing we did was the paint job. We wanted the walls to look like stone and I loooove the way it turned out but it took forever!!! Anyways enough of my talking, let us get to the pictures!

This is the view from the doorway! I forgot to get a picture of the dragon painting that hangs above the entry that says "Your Adventure Begins Here"

Right Corner View

Here you can see Chromo the Red Dragon's remains! We hung his wanted posted beneath him because we are all braggarts  Tongue His wanted poster tells the tales of his horrid reign over Duskveil Forest. Its okay though...we got him!

Close of up Chromo!

Our "animal" skin rug! You can't really tell but this rug is made out of fun fur, I got this on sale at the fabric store for .99 cents a yard! Cheapest rug ever.

Close up of the D&D Deity Tabards. I am new to sewing so I am SO proud of these. The green one is the sigil for Moradin and the blue one is for the Raven Queen (our respective favorite Deities).

The weapon chest! My husband's favorite part. The flail and shield I made, the shield ended up costing $0 and the Flail was $20! That makes it cooler to me somehow  Grin

This is the Shelf of Holding! You can see our potions and gems. Odd trinkets and magical items. The Wand of Ameatra and Samson the Slime

I loooove this wand. I found this really pretty twig at the park one day and decided I must make a wand. I just soaked the wood in water then twisted them together and bound with hemp rope. I let it bake in the sun for a few days then attached the pretty quartz wand I found in the dime basket at my local thrift store to the top and there ya have it!

Potions, trinkets, scrolls, and baubles. Everything we could need Smiley

We mounted an erasable dungeon map to corkboard and used industrial Velcro to adhere it to the wall. The DM corner comes complete with a comfy seat and a screen to scheme behind!

Close up of our game table. The wooden punch bowl is filled with dice/dice bags and of the three cups each one contains one of the following; pencils, erasers, pencil sharpener. Nothing can stop us now......lol

Thank you so much for taking the time to look! I hope you enjoy it <3

7  Free Massages anyone?! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Zombina Skeleton on: May 07, 2010 10:30:16 PM
My best friend is just starting school to become a massage therapist. I wanted to show my support so here was my "Good Luck" gift! My husband and I actually made this at zero cost to us, but if you had to buy everything we used I would say this project would still be under $50 dollars! It ends up being about 6 1/2 feet long and will hold around 350 pounds. We went to our local Big Lots! and bought a heavy duty table months ago and ended up not using it, but we got ours for about $25 (it doesn't have to be pretty at all considering it will be covered) I started digging through my fabric bin and found some great upholstery fabric in this fuzzy blue grey color, very soft and warm figured it would be a great cover for our massage table! Then headed to my treasure room (also known a junk room but hey treasure sounds better!) for something to stuff it with, found a unopened pack of eggcrate foam bedcovers. BINGO! 3 hours, 25 nails, a bunch of staples later we had our table finished! Wash, Rinse, Repeat for the smaller table (I like this because you can move it support the head, or feet, or arms...whatever needs the attention! But it is no way a necessity) Feedback welcome! Enjoy!

Just the table (the blue thing was a afterthought, its for ankle, knee, or neck support)

annnnnd here is one with the table extender!

8  From lame round table to battle ready Viking Shield! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Zombina Skeleton on: May 01, 2010 06:58:51 PM
My husband and I are huge DnD nerds, and right now we are turning our game room into the "Adventure's Guild Hall". We have seen lots of game rooms that look like dungeons and we are wanting to do something different. So far we have lots of potions and scrolls made. A "Monster chair" (We were thinking of him as a mimic chair from DnD Tongue) https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=337211.msg3900022#msg3900022 we are starting on wall decoration now, so we have been playing around with the idea of making weapons, taxidermy style monster heads, wanted posters, treasure maps etc. My husband has been wanting to make a shield forever so we started looking for a pretty wood to use when I literally stubbed my toe on this awesome Red Oak round table that was in a junk room in our house and it had seen better days.. Well, problem solved. So we started sanding it down! (I forgot to get a before picture of the table  Embarrassed

You can see my best friend's hands and his crazy long hair here lol My husband is the sander. We have no problem using our friends for hard labor!

This is the closest thing I remembered to get to a "before" picture, but as you can see from the middle part of the circle it was pretty beat up, and oh my goodness someone LOVED their Varnish! We sanded most of the first day that we worked on it. This ended up being a two day project.

We then spent countless hours with a roll of masking tape, trying to make the design, which considering how awesome I looked after sanding for 3 hours, I'm thankful the guys forgot the camera lol I couldn't find any stain that I liked so I made my own with some outdoor paint watered down then applied like a stain (applying then wiping it off) I did this with the brown and black but the green we really loved and ended up just painting it on. After everything was dry we took some antiqued brass furniture tacks to embellish the outside. I think i want something in the center but I haven't found it yet. So here is the our shield!

For the arm straps I found my husbands old belt that I took for crafting a few weeks back, because it was so ragged and cut one large enough for his forearm and another as a hand strap and my handy drill and I secured it into place with a couple of screws.

And here is my happy adventurer! He is ready for battle!!!! (I find him holding a shield in my very girly craft room funny Grin)

Save a Rhino Day - This little guy already has a home in my craft room, its a very sad Rhino painting but sadness doesn't stop him from being adorable!

Thanks Lydia! Great job on your first swap!! (Sorry for the single photo, my camera is on the fritz and it died right after I took this one  Huh Huh)

10  Bride of Frankenstein jewelry box! in Completed Projects by Zombina Skeleton on: April 13, 2010 05:00:00 PM
Okay wasn't sure where to put this is so Miscellaneous Topics is the place for me, right? Anyways, so I found this awesome jewelry box while cleaning out yet another lost room of my home. The top was broken off and the music box was broken but was clearly awesome, what to do? Fix it! I reassembled the box, and took my tools to the music box and tada fixed music box! I am a huge horror fan, and even more a fan of horror punk music (hence the theme!) So this is what I came up with. The lyrics on the front are from the band Zombina and the Skeletones the song is, "Nobody likes you when you're dead" which is my favorite band and one of my favorite songs! I work at a comic shop so I'm a cheater when it comes to finding images, I have rooms of great old comic books and magizines to go through. C&C welcome!

Here is the front
