1  glass on glass action in Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions by jennymama on: November 06, 2010 09:53:41 AM
I'm fastening glass to glass... thrift store vases mostly, artfully (I hope) piled on top of each other.

I've started with some home cement type stuff. Goopy and SUPER NOXIOUS. Also takes a while to dry and is pretty sloppy and expensive. in other words, not ideal. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for gluing glass to glass. I'd like something that dries clear and is thick enough to fill in the gaps in between the ridges and patterns on the glass, and form a tight seal. I'm thinking some kind of caulk? but I've never worked with it. I don't think a hot glue gun would be secure enough, but that might be close to the right consistency of goo.

Also, how about drilling into glass? Porcelain drill bit? Or am I making that up?

Photo is of a work in progress, just getting started, so don't be judgy! : )
