1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Tips for 52 reasons book? on: January 20, 2011 01:03:07 PM
I'm making my boyfriend a 52 reasons book and I am soooo excited and inspired after seeing everyone's awesome examples here!  But I just have some questions/would appreciate other ideas that you would like to share, and I'm sure a bunch of other people are making these for V-day so hopefully this thread can help others too!

1.  If you've made one, what font size did you find to work best? Ditto for pictures
2. What kind of glue works best?

Anyway, the vision I have in my head is to use one of the joker cards to make a cover and embellish it with a bunch of nail art stuff that I have lying around.

What do you guys think?
2  Arizona / Arizona: Central / Re: Fabric Stores beside Jo-Annes? on: July 30, 2008 04:16:35 AM
There's a place called SAS fabrics on 1111 E Indian School.  I've never been there, but it was recommended to me by someone on this forum when I asked a similar question.
3  Arizona / Arizona: Central / thrift stores on: July 28, 2008 12:53:24 PM
Are there any Buffalo Exchange-type thrift stores closer to the Glendale/Peoria area? I'm talking about the ones where you can take your lightly used items to trade for cash.  Undecided
4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / the art of shrinkdinking on: December 12, 2006 12:32:06 PM
I understand the standard way to color a shrinky dink is with colored pencil, but I didn't like the pencilishness of the color after it got taken out of the oven.  I read on the website that acrylic paint also works, but it didn't shrink with the plastic when I tried.  Is there a secret, unknown method of coloring a shrinky dink that will yield nice, solid results?   Huh

Nice legs!   Cheesy  Nice skirt, too!  I live in the same city as Alice Cooper and my friend's cousin goes to the same high school with his daughter or something.  It's so cool you got to meet him.
8  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Bridesmaid Dress into Keepsake Wall Hanging on: August 10, 2006 12:36:39 PM
that's very creative!  I never would've thought of making a wall hanging.  I love the quilting in the background.  I'm obsessed with quilted things lately but I'm not very good at it yet. Cheesy

It looks much better as a beatick. (I think that's how you spell it.)  I don't believe you when you say you have no waist because it looks like you've got one!
