21  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Needing some encouragement on: March 29, 2010 12:18:25 PM
I made this pattern with PCStitch when my step daughters were old enough to love the show.  The eldest graduated from high school last year so that tells you how long I have had this idea.  It's 28 count Aida, done with 1 strand of thread.  I still enjoy the idea and concept of the powerpuff girls, still like the whole 'strong girls fighting crime' so when its done, I will probably just keep it in my craft room.  Im just needing encouragement. I finished Blossom this weekend.

That's the inspiration for the pattern, including the pink hearts background.

This is what I have done so far.  It's taken me a year of on and off stitching to get this done.

22  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: First Time Knitter!!! Very excited!! on: March 22, 2010 03:46:12 PM
Very nicely done!  Im impressed by your even tension!  When I first learned, my stitches were so tight, I would break yarn.  Took a long while for me to get tension like yours!  Well done, keep it up!

And when you knit every stitch, every row, its called garter stitch.

I always love seeing things people made that are inspired from old school video games.  Such a good job!  I love it, well done!
