Wow. I am truly impressed. And trust me, I am hardly ever impressed.

Actually, I have an opportunity coming up at my house for a meeting place.  My boyfriend is buying a condo, so I will have an extra room at my house, which can be used for a studio or something like it.  I also have my design studio in the back, where I do all my fashion stuff.  I live in a house at the beach, kind of small, but 2 rooms availavle for the purpose of class or meeting areas.

Yeah, Goonie.  I am definitely more into sewing and fashion, but I think that I've seen more people on here into knitting, so maybe we would make two groups or something.

Is that LA as in Los Angeles, or Louisiana?

Ok, I posted a message on this topic a while ago saying how I was going to research how to start group/club like things.  I didn't find much info.  But, I do have a 'fairly' big empty room in my two bedroom house, that could possibly be used for meetings or....whatever.  By the way, it is for rent.  I live by the beach in Pacific Beach, practically on Garnet.  I was just looking at the room and trying to fingure out what the maximum occupancy could be for a Fashion Club.  Maybe 10-15, though I am not good at this sort of planning stuff.  I also have an extra sewing room in the back, where I do all my designing, and also where my ferret lives.  So I could be onto something here.

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Need Roommate for Our House in Pacific Beach, CA. (San Diego)! on: February 26, 2005 06:21:30 PM
Do you, or any other girls out there reading this, need a room in the Pacific Beach area?  We are looking for a roommate, preferably female, for our 2 bedroom, 1 bath house at the beach.  It is such a cute and clean house, and it's got an awesome sewing room in the back.  It is $750 a month plus $750 deposit, and a dog and/or cat can be considered.  We would like someone for the 1st if March, but we are flexible with the move in date.  Please please please spread the word; we don't want some weird dude living with us.  Here's a little info about your prospective roommates; I (Miranda) am currently going to school for Criminal Justice, studying to be a forensic Scientist.  I also am taking a Fashion Design course on the side, practicing for my Dressmaking Certificate.  We are really into art and design.  Danny is a firefighter, who also manages the Omni Hotel in Downtown.  He is hilarious and really laid back...super friendly and socialable.  This house is rad in the summer time; there are parties everywhere!  We are so close to the water and all the shops on Garnet...You will love this house!  (P.S.  Don't let the 1 bathroom thing scare you off; it has never been a problem with any of our other roommates and has never been an issue.)

squirelpoo...the walking feet attachments are miracle workers for leather and pleather, also vinyl.  I bought a walking foot for my Bernina for almost $150; it's a must have.  Having a Bernina is really great too.
