12  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Vintage Valentine on: February 13, 2011 10:25:26 AM
Such a cute design.  You did a beautiful job tinting it and I like the use of the different stitches.

Thank you, after I was done stitching it up, it still looked naked, so I was really excited how the tinting really brought it all together! :-)

16  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Mermaid Stuffie on: February 08, 2011 07:37:02 PM
Here is a doll I made for my daughter for Christmas. This is a cruddy picture at the time I had lame camera, now I have a better camera but dead batteries!

She is made from a pattern by Bit of Whimsy (MerMae). My daughter calls her Alice Mae. My daughter is also obsessed with Alice in Wonderland so I used the awesome Japanese import Alice fabric, one of my favorites. My daughter has now requested mermaid dolls for her birthday for favors for her friends.... 14 dolls are currently in production, goodness gracious!

I love the first towel, the cutlery is so freaking cute! :-) I have been wanting to make tea towels for my kitchen, but the back of my work I feel isn't "neat enough" and have been waiting.... this may just inspire me to start!

That is the most adorable mobile I've seen!  I love all the components, but the little planets are my faves, and the stripey robot.  Great job!  Lucky friend's baby!

That is so stinking adorable! What a lucky family!
