11  Re: Lego Lovers Swap GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by IzzyBee on: October 27, 2012 03:16:27 AM
I received my package from silentblair this morning!  Grin

Here's what was inside...

The entire package, with a card that has my name spelled out in Lego bricks!

An awesome minifig fabric notebook cover

A crocheted brick pouch (which I think I'll be keeping my phone in to stop it getting scratched, as it's the perfect size. Apologies for the rubbish photo of this, something must be up with the lighting in my room as my camera refused to pick up the red colour properly), and a zip-up wallet/purse made from baseboards

Some amazing jewellery - a bangle, a ring and a charm bracelet

A minifig-sized Snuggie!  Cheesy

Some minifig crayons, a minifig-sized 4th Doctor scarf, and some tweezers (I mentioned in my questionnaire that I'd had an incident involving some Lego getting stuck up my nose when I was little - the tweezers are in case such an unfortunate occurrence happens again Tongue)

3 brick gift bags, and 2 minifig masks (definitely dressing up as a minifig for Halloween now!)

And the non-crafted goodies - a fabric book cover, brick erasers, and pencils

Plus what is quite possible the most amazing thing ever - it may just look like a large minifig, but pull his head off and it's actually a pen!

Thank you so much silentblair! You've been an awesome partner, you've really spoiled me and I love everything!

Today I had to go out for some shopping, so took Po to explore the town's riverside gardens when I was finished.

We saw the origami swan statues...

... then we met a real life swan (who wasn't too pleased to see us when it realised we had no food and it couldn't eat Po!), and some ducks and geese on the River Thames...

We also saw the London Stone (if anyone's interested, there's more info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Stone_%28riparian%29 - I think this one is actually a replica, I was going to take Po to see the real one too which is in the museum across the road, but unfortunately it was closed so we'll have to go back another day)

A few days ago we picked what are probably the last of the season's raspberries from my garden...

... and used them (along with the other raspberries I've been picking and freezing for the past few weeks, and some wild-growing blackberries my mum picked) to make some tasty jam...

Po arrived today! Well, he actually arrived on Friday while I was away from home, but I was only able to go and pick him up this morning.

Here he is all tucked up in his box:

And here he is with the goodies ale0059 very kindly sent with him:

I didn't realise that everyone would be sending sweets/candy with their first package, so I didn't include any in mine. For some reason I had it in my head that everyone sent candy at the end of the swap when returning their visitor, so now I feel bad for my partner that I didn't include any Sad. I will definitely be including some when I send my visitor's contract back though, to try and make it up to my partner that I didn't send any first time around!

Not sure where I'll be able to take Po to first - it's my first day at a new job tomorrow so it'll be a few days before that settles down, but after this I have lots of fun places in mind to take him Smiley

14  Re: Little Visitor Swap 16 (Sign Ups 10-3 to 10-7, Send Outs 10-12) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by IzzyBee on: October 06, 2012 10:24:20 AM
This is Poppy, who I will be sending out as my visitor Smiley. She's very small - only about 3 inches tall! - so she's the perfect to be taken out and about on lots of adventures.
